My first time experience at this place was on a Friday night, at the glow party event. There are multiple issues that need to be addressed in order to succeed, otherwise I will not be back.
1.) No readily available menus or advertisements on the table. We had to ask for a drink menu when we were helped. We found out after the kitchen closed that y'all serve food too, we would've loved an appetizer. Would rate higher on the food if we knew y'all had food and ordered some.
2.) It took 15 minutes+ for us to be helped, and no one would check up on us for long periods of time in between orders. However, they would check up on other tables, and one specific server was caught up in conversation throughout the whole night from 9:30pm to 1am and wasn't helping her crew. The two servers we did receive were very friendly, but they had no handheld devices OR notepads to keep track of anyone's order or tables. They got our drinks mixed up multiple times. The first order, I ordered frozen and a friend ordered on the rocks. They got swapped and we had to take them back to be remade. When we closed out the tab, they added drinks we didn't order despite us telling them what we ordered. This goes back to needing hand-held devices to keep track of everything. Ie. Toast, Stripe, Clover, etc. Or a classic notepad and pen.
3.) Not a single server took our cards to keep tabs. We watched the tables in front of us AND behind us dine & dash, and their groups were 4+ people. Y'all are losing money this way and it's detrimental to the whole operation.
4.) DJ Chocolate was great and the music was good. Usually for glow nights I picture a more electronic/house scene, but the track choices were great and I have no complaints on this!
5.) Finally, the busser/floor person. He was trying to stay busy, making continuous laps around the floor. There were points where it looked like he wanted to stay busy, but couldn't find anything to do, despite the operation being busy. He could be helping with seating people or helping out with other operations to keep the ball rolling. Overall...
Read moreAfter trying several times to get a hold of any kind of manager or the owners I'm writing this review. I'm a country music artist I've been playing for 26 years and play over 200 shows a year. The girl they have booking the music apparently does not have the okay from management or the owners because the night before I was supposed to play I found out the band that was playing there was double booked. So I called the venue, no answer. (I left a message) I called the bartender that booked me to see if we were still good to go for the next morning. It being Easter Sunday a lot of people had made plans to come for brunch and my show. I was given the runaround saying that brunch shows haven't started yet even though I clearly have in text that people have already started playing. then she proceeds to tell me that they don't even open till 2p on Sundays instead of at 11a as the hours state. It is extremely frustrating not being able to speak to anyone else about the situation This is all that I do, This is my livelihood, when people cannot manage their responsibilities properly they should not be in those positions at all. I turned down other opportunities in order to be here this morning to play this show.
If you are looking for someone to take over your booking calendar I would be more than happy to assist. Like I said I've been in this industry for 26 years, I have booked and done promotions & marketing for many venues simultaneously over the years, I have a lot to offer. It looks like your establishment is absolutely amazing and myself and all of the people that were planning to be there today were also looking forward to being there. Now I'll get back to texting people that the show is canceled. Not really the way that I wanted to spend my Sunday....
Read moreChecked out The Vibe for the first timeâcool atmosphere with a live band, which was a nice touch. The space is on the smaller side, so dancing was a bit limited, but the crowd was a mixed group, definitely leaning older. There were some legends in thereâway beyond cougars. Maybe a few jaguars and even some panthers roaming around! And let me tell you, they were straight-up T-H-I-R-S-T-Y. đ
Now, the biggest downside? The drinks. I spent $30 on two cocktails, and both were terrible. Ordered an Old Fashioned, but whatever I got was not an Old Fashioned nor did it even taste relatively close or good. Tried a French Martini nextâextremely bad. A friend had a fruity drink with blue Curaçao that was just okay at best. Your whole business is built around "craft cocktails," so what exactly is "craft" about them? No garnishes, no great recipesâjust bad drinks. If you're going to brand yourself as a craft cocktail spot, at least deliver something worthy of the name.
On a positive note, the wait staff were very attentive, which was nice. They were friendly and kept up with the crowd well.
I really hope they get their stuff together because the place has potential. But if the drinks suck, people wonât keep coming back.
Not sure why all the 5 star reviews, everyone we were with had issues with the taste...
