Welp after trying and having a horrible experience at Scotty's Pub which is in the same strip mall as San Lorenzo's, we made our way to this spot. I have to say it was literally a breath of fresh air. Go read my review on Scotty's Pub to get that joke. Anyway as a full disclaimer, my friend and I were in the mood to drink. So we didn't purchase any food aside from Chile con queso. But it all looked fantastic from what was going by to other tables. Hands down the drink menu is world class at San Lorenzo! They had more mixed drinks, margaritas, martinis, and beer than you could shake a stick at. The staff was extremely friendly and even though they knew our right that we weren't going to order food they waited on us very diligently. At no point was I having to search for a waiter to get another drink or to have our chips and queso refilled. The service is some of the best I ever had at a restaurant. In all I had about 6 drinks and my friend had about 8. Never repeated a single drink between us and they were all excellent! If you're a drinker then you know to order 14 different drinks and not find a single drink you didn't enjoy is almost unheard of. Towards to end of our night my friend's girlfriend showed up with their kid to give us a ride home. Which the waiter did ask us if we had a designated driver which I thought was pretty classy since they obviously care about their guests rather than just making money. Now the down side, which honestly was fully expected. It was EXPENSIVE!! My bill for 6 drinks and 1 large chile con queso with beef was $76. My friend who had 8 drinks and 1 large chile con queso with beef was a bit over $100. Since both of us were very well toasted by this point we happily paid it. My friends girlfriend who was stone cold sober freaked out a bit and demanded an itemized bill. I noticed the drinks were pricey but some way more than others. On my bill a pimm's cup martini was only about $7 but the spicy pineapple margarita was $16! So my suggestion is to go during happy hour when the margaritas are $4 if you're in a drinking mood. Aside from the price, the whole experience was very enjoyable and I will definitely be back again to actually try...

Fast forward to last night:
I came here again with my boyfriend for our anniversary dinner. He arrived before me and got a table. We had salsa, gauc, and chips. 3 people saw me sat down and it took 10 minutes to get my drink order. They saw we were empty on chips and salsa, but only replaced the chips? We waited another 10 minutes for them to take our order. The server did not write down what we ordered. My boyfriend got 3 chicken soft corn tacos that looked like we could have made at home.. I got chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. I also ordered 4 churros ahead of time for dessert.
He came by 5 minutes later to ask what I ordered because he forgot. Our food came out 15 minutes later. The food was great, however, I asked for another drink, and I did not receive a refill!! I asked 3 times for a Togo box, and when our server brought it, it was a small box?? I had to cut my enchiladas in half to get all of my food to fit in the small container! It was so stuffed that it was having a hard time closing!! The server also brought us our check and we had to remind him our our churros order...? I'm pretty sure he forgot because he kept assuring us they were coming. Why would we pay before we were done eating? I felt completely ignored. We payed for our meal, and it took them another 15 minutes after we already waited 15 minutes to receive the churros. They were cold, and despite the cinnamon and sugar, they tasted bland. Not even a dipping sauce. All I wanted was to get out of the restaurant at this point. I used to be a server, and trust me, they weren't slammed at all. They knew it was our anniversary because we told them, too.
I have no idea what happened from Mother's Day to now, but I DO know that i will not return. Horrible horrible horrible experience and service!
I would give them ZERO stars.
La Brisa, and Los Ramirez are so...
Read moreI am a local business owner who visited San Lorenzo's. My experience was not delightful to be honest. I made an order for fajitas for 2, their online pricing was $18.95, it was actually $22.95. I also ordered Enchiladas De Espinaca which was listed for $8.95 and at the restaurant they were $9.95. Over the phone they did not give me a total, so I thought everything would be fine. I brung $37 cash to pick up the order. When I got there they told me my order was $37.61, I was $.61 short. I told the manager, at least I thought he was a manager, I even showed them the price they were advertising on line. I guess they couldn't honor that deal or price so then I had to drive back home to pick up $1. I was going to leave a tip which I do every time, but me having to go all the way back home for $.67 made me decide not too. They did not honor what they advertised even after speaking with the manager. So I will no longer be going to this restaurant for that reason. Their food isn't bad but this one experience with their management made me not ever want to spend another dollar there, and I won't. Now I'm going to be forced to go somewhere further to get Mexican cuisine. I never leave bad reviews, I usually just stop going. But this incident made me take a different approach. Do not go by their online prices, they are different then their actual prices. And they do not honor their online prices. Bad business practices if you ask...
