Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Leawood

I made a review 2 years ago that was less than honest let alone fair. You see, I was working there and I saw both sides of things. Yes the food is fast except during lunch rush in which due to lack of employees did take longer for deliveries. Working in that location was a nightmare. The leawood/kc area is full of people who feel entitled or just dont want to really work. That always left us short staffed and overworked. Of course people dont take time to understand that nor do they care about anyone else but themselves. So after 5 years enough was enough and i left. I was working 120 hours a week and never saw my family and too many entitled customers complaining about every little thing. Look, if you enjoy overpriced subpar food cool go here. But the company as a whole doesnt care about the employees and customers always feeling entitled, makes for a bad work environment. There were the few good regulars that did make my day, but as a whole people whine too much. The food just isnt that good to make that much of a fuss. Fyi we always made fun of the complainers after they called, wrote a negative review or made an online complaint. 9/10 they were in the wrong. Just thought...

I ordered online and I work down the street. I’ve ordered from this location (what feels like) hundreds of times. Today I ordered and noticed that it was taking longer than normal so I called to check and make sure it was still on it’s way. The little boy who answered the phone was VERY rude. He kept going back and forth with me about why it was taking so long which I did not ask for. I just wanted to make sure it was on it’s way. He said”wel it’s because you ordered at 12 if you were one of our first orders your order would’ve came quicker but you decided to order at 12” I said that’s fine, just wanted to check. He keeps going “oh wel I thought you said you’ve been waiting along time you made it seem like it’s been along time and it’s only been 15 mins?” First off my job is literally 2 mins away if you plug it into the gps so yes 15 mins is quite a long time. They delivered it 25 mins after I placed my order and just left it at a random desk...

I have never came on here to leave a negative review, but tonight there were 2 guys working in this location. The guy working the counter needs lessons on customer service. I asked to add pickles and onion to my club sandwich plus some extra mayo. He got the tub of mayo out and tossed it on the counter and I said oh wow now thats some mayo! His reply was noooo. I didnt want to open it and was annoyed I asked. I was thinking dang dude.. it's just some saran wrap on a tub of mayo. I live in New Mexico where we dont have a JJs I'd been in the car 14 hrs driving and just wanted to stretch, relax, and have some good food. Which the food was good as always. If sales are down it's definitely ol boy causing it. Normally hubs and I get the combo..Then go back for a cookie but tonight we just got the sandwiches and took it to go.
