I used to enjoy coming here but my experience tonight was bad. I came to treat myself to my favorite meal and regret coming here at all. The chips tasted like they were fried in bad oil. Beggars came in and verbally discussed which tables would be good to beg for money. I don’t know if staff kicked the beggars out or not, but they proceeded to beg in the parking lot after. Staff sat a crying baby behind me that cried the entire time. Other table’s foods were served before my simple meal even though I ordered first. I decided to forgive the things that took away from a quiet dinner until the very end. My server dropped checks off to two tables. I asked if I pay at the front and he insisted that he take my card himself. The other table proceeded to check out at the front while I waited for my server. Eventually, he came back empty handed. He left my card unattended somewhere in the restaurant. I did get my card back, but I advise bringing cash. Overall, I regret not going the the Mexican restaurant across the street tonight.
While the poor quality of guests/beggars isn’t the fault of the restaurant, I included the information for readers to be aware of the kind of people hang around the area. Stay alert everywhere. Beggars and loud babies are not factored into the rating. The irresponsible care of my card and bad food is what...
Read moreFirst impressions of the place made me second guess. BUT I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants where I’m from that have been absolutely stellar.
This place. No.
The salsa had no flavor but the texture was ok. The chips were fresh and nothing special.
I ordered the Mechelada and it came back thick and syrup like and tasted like carbonated orange chicken sauce. This rubbed the guy the wrong way and bless his heart, oh pobresito he tried to somewhat bully me into just drinking it.
The replacement beer was good.
Undisclosed was a by the drink tax on drinks there which is normally included in the price so I feel that was a strategy to get more money out of people. To which I scratch my head because instead of repeat customers you know just extort one time consumers. It’s mind boggling. “ There is also a transaction fee I’m guessing for using a card however that was not disclosed as well.
The food. Bland. The Birria tacos were not anything special but also not really done to well. The flavor overall just wasn’t that good.
There was nothing about this place that could ever set themselves apart or even showcase that they are a good generic bootleg Mexican style restaurant that this whole area is known for.
The food was edible but somewhat bland and again nothing special. I gave them a shot and would...
Read moreI called to place an order and it took a few minutes for the person on the phone to even get the order right when I said it the same way each time. On top of not being able to properly take my order once I received my food, I had no silverware and had messed the food up even after triple confirming what I had wanted to order. The salsa has a kick to it but taste like water with a kick. The chimichanga wasn’t horrible but I had nothing to put on it or anything due to them not giving it to me so it just wasn’t as satisfying. Quesadilla was dry and did not like the way they prepared their shredded chicken at all. My boyfriend had gotten the steak fajita quesadilla, he said that it was super soggy and there were additional items in the quesadilla that should not have been in there. Rice had no taste, same with guacamole. Personally did not enjoy this meal and didn’t even finish it. Took a few bites and decided to toss it. Waste of money and time. Take the chance at your own risk when choosing to get take out or to dine here. I’m not one to usually right negative reviews, but I would prefer it to be good food and bad service or vice versa. Not everything being...
