Waffle House — Restaurant in Lebanon

I went into this Waffle House the other night after picking my mother up at the airport. We sat down and I had a lot on my mind and was anxious to talk to my mother about it. After we ordered our coffee the waitress apparently didn't like that I wasn't talking a lot (although I DID tell her what we wanted to eat/gave her my order). ALL OF A SUDDEN, SHE SAYS "WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE, AND I'M REFUSING TO SERVE YOU. AS A MATTER OF FACT- YOU JUST NEED TO LEAVE! " We were mortified!!! I did NOT say anything rude or disrespectful to this waitress. The ONLY thing I'm guilty of is not chit-chatting with her. She said "I was not talking to" her so I told her that I merely hesitated while trying to decide. Because I took a few seconds while I was deciding what I wanted to drink. (I knew I SHOULD drink water, but I wanted coffee, but wasn't sure if I should drink that because I had a couple hours more to drive and didn't want to have to stop to pee). So I DID hesitate a few seconds while I thought about it . But I guess she picked up that I wasn't in a great mood- but it was nothing against her! How could it be? I don't know her! But I'd like to reiterate: I didn't say ANYTHING rude or ANYTHING out of the way. I just wasn't talkative that night. That's all. I don't feel like I did anything wrong. I have been to restaurants with my boyfriend and he sometimes gets quite cantankerous with the waitresses, and yet he has never once been KICKED OUT of any restaurant. (But I wasn't there with him. I was with my 80-year-old mother.) And I get kicked out just because I didn't feel like talking. Although I did talk enough to place my order. It wasn't like I wasn't saying anything. Showed up at 3:40am to feed me and my pregnant fiance and got told it would be 40 minutes due to them cleaning that was understandable but when I showed back up at 4:40am and they were still turning people away so I sat in my car and did online order for pick up after I spend $40 and submit my order it said pick up time 5:05am well we sit and wait while we're sitting out there waiting we'll see a few people go in and take a seat and see their orders being taken show my fiance goes in and asked how long our food would be before it's done and the two white lady's in there was absolutely unprofessional and for no reason at all they were so disrespectful towards my pregnant fiance and she just turned around and walked out and we did a report on our online order and then still waited and our food to be prepared there was two guys in there working doing what they needed to do and a younger sweet black lady that was in there working circles around all them she was also real kind about the situation and told my fiance she don't know why the other two women are having such an ugly attitude so we got our food at about 6: 00am and then to top it off I ordered a double order of hash browns smothered and covered absolutely no tomatoes are mushrooms I am highly allergic to mushrooms and this is just a topper I go to open my food and the first thing I noticed is mushrooms.... This particular Waffle House was unbelievable on this Thanksgiving Day. They were not busy at all and yet it took about 50 minutes before we were served. Upon interring we quickly realized how loud the employees were. My daughter and I begin to walk toward the corner booth and was told the table hadn't been cleared off so we sit in another booth where the hot sun was shining. Much to hot to sit there. Just decided to take the uncleand booth. They did come and clean it in a short time. Took too long to take our order. We both ordered Tbone steak and how we wanted it cooked. We ordered a salad to eat while waiting on our food. About 20 minutes later our food came. While waiting the music was almost unbearable it was so loud. Employees continue to talk with yelling words. Steaks weren't cooked as ordered, got salad and tea after getting our food. Had to ask for a straw and ask for xtra lemon for our steak but was out of lemons. Wanted dessert which we ordered earlier yet finally had to get their attention to tell them once again. They apologized and said they forgot about us. When we did get the desert we ordered chocolate pie the white cream on top was melted and was unappetizing. Waited even more time to get our ticket. I will never come back to this ordeal ever.
