I decided see what this place was all about today. Big mistake! The employee told me about their teas as if they were some kind of superfood smoothie type beverage. I was told they were loaded with nutrients, were sweet without sugar, super healthy, and naturally caffeinated. Great! First I asked if something was added to make them more caffeinated? No, it's just the tea (duh). I then asked what they added for the nutrients, to which I got "Oh, well, tea has lots of nutrients in it." Fair enough. Then I asked about what sweeteners they used, to which I got "Um, well, I don't know, but it's not sugar." I would presume that means they're using a synthetic sweetener. That's healthy... At this point I opted for one of their more basic flavors, in hopes it might actually be healthier, based on how this conversation was going. She proceeds to take a tea base, adding two brightly colored powdered mixtures to it, one presumably the cucumber flavor, and the other watermelon. I decided not to ask where the color comes from, but based on the products they sell on their shelves, it's food coloring. And based on the flavors they offer, those are synthetic flavors too. In a nutshell, this place seems to be talking up tea based drinks that are loaded with chemicals, and not much healthier than diet Mt Dew, only to present them as if they're nutrient drinks while presuming their customers are idiots. But wait, there's more! The menu didn't show a price for these teas. That beverage in my photo was $11 out the door! Wow. Fool me once, shame on you, but you won't fool me twice. I have no problem with establishments selling foods that are bad for you, but don't present them as healthy only for your employee to not even know what's actually in them, then charge me more than an actual healthy smoothie with real fruit and vegetables would cost. This place is selling snake oil at snake oil prices, hence...
Read moreWaited 20 minutes to even be greeted when there was only one other person in front of me and she sat there and ignored me to chat with them and play with their kid. I ordered two medium hot chocolates and the lady asked me three times while making the drinks what I ordered? Ended up waiting 45 minutes for 2 Swiss miss hot chocolates I could have made at home in 2 minutes. Place is cluttered and dirty....
Read moreHow to describe this place…maybe homey. Stuff piled everywhere including dry cleaning as if someone was living there. Coffee was very flavorless. Chai tea and hot chocolate were good. Massive selection of teas. Very few places to sit, somewhat uncomfortable to spend time here. A good cleaning and organization would do wonders for this place. Staff was very friendly. We won’t be back but it has...
