(Note: I write these reviews in part for my own nationwide business clients, for travel and activity inspiration. Follow me for more! I’m a financial planner - CFP®️practitioner - with a focus on retirement wealth strategies, primarily serving business women and LGBTQ individuals. #VirtualPlanningCraftedWithCare®️) This is my second time at an Agaves, my first at this new location in Lee. I came here tonight with others during a business trip, and we had an excellent experience. They had plenty of off street parking and a big space inside. Not huge but comfortable. And clean. The bathrooms are very small and gender specific. This could be an issue if you use a wheelchair or are nonbinary. Though overall, I bet they are otherwise LGBTQ friendly and the town is for sure an LGBTQ friendly area. I let our server know about an allergy and I was so pleased that they took it seriously and worked with me to make sure my meal was safe. Then we had some great drinks. I recommend the pineapple margarita. Prices were fair for the fresh food and generous portions. I don’t know if I’d consider this a kid friendly establishment. But definitely appropriate for couples, friends and retirees. We all very much liked our dining experience and we’d come again.

We just tried this place and will definitely be returning for lunch in the future! FOOD/DRINK: + This is the best California Burrito I've had since moving back to the east coast from San Diego. They don't seem to appear on many menus out here. + First chips and salsa are included. Salsa was delicious. + House margarita was smooth and hit the spot ATMOSPHERE: + Bright cheery welcoming atmosphere + Clean Cute bathrooms + Family friendly vibes + Bar looked nice + Easy parking with parking lot is a plus SERVICE: + Great, timely, staff was very kind and attentive ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT/THOUGHTS: - Chairs ... Comfortable enough but something about the chair/table situation made it feel cafeteria style/not super cozy. From the outside I pictured it being a great date night spot but I probably wouldn't choose it for that for this reason. I think eventually adding a few booths/padded seating would up the cozy - Kids menu wasn't available despite this seeming like a great place for families

This was my/our first time eating here. When we got there we noticed it was cute and clean. We sat outside which was perfect and we had their chips with guacamole and salsa. The guacamole was DELICIOUS! Muy bien! Along with that we had the chicken Empanads, 2 shredded beef tacos with rice and beans (I forgot the name of the exact dish) and those were seasoned and tasted really goodl!!. All we used was lime and all the flavors popped! The Mango Mojito was made just right and tasted like it should! The house margarita was made good too. Our waitress was nice, actually anyone who came to our table was nice and helpful. I'd definitely eat there again!

I brought my family to Agaves in Lee for dinner, the food was good and overall reasonably priced. Our experience went south after we paid the bill. The cost wasn't the problem. After paying $209.00, tip included, we sat there for a few minutes finishing up our beverages. The hostess came over to us and informed us that she didn't understand the waitress' handwriting and therefore added the bill incorrectly. She then proceed to hand us the bill again with a remaining balance of $16.09. We were dumbfounded. The error was on behalf of the hostess/manager or whatever she was. We had no idea that there was an error. We just paid the bill in cash no less! What would she have done had we left right away? We were blindsided. It was completely unprofessional of her to handle the matter the way she did. On the way out the door we asked if she was sure that she got the bill correct this time. We will NEVER again set foot in that place. Anyone who asks us about Agaves in Lee, we inform them of our experience. After reading other reviews, I noticed other people have had similar experiences to what happened to us. Perhaps the staff needs to be trained or retrained in carefully reviewing and adding up checks/tabs prior to handing customers the bill. This way, they can save themselves the embarrassment of having to explain to customers that they screwed up on the bill and that the customers need to pay more. We never had that experience at Agaves in Great...

The food was excellent! The chef really knows how to cook delicious food. Everything was cooked perfectly. The waitress we had left alot to be desired. She did a good job but was not very attentive. But her service was good but slow. The only thing about this place that I did not like, they nickle and dime you on your bill. We asked for extra salsa, limes, and tortillas. And we were charged $2 extra for each of those items. I have worked many years in the food service industries, and extra unlisted charges such as these are normally posted on menu or told to customer. Or the restaurant usually rolls that into the meal prices. But just to discover it on my bill in the end was a bit off putting and upsetting. I don't mind paying the extra but when I am aware before hand. My reasoning being is that like the average middle class person you are on a budget even when eating out at a location. And unexpected charges can be upsetting. But back to a positive vibe the overall experience going here was great! I highly recommend this place for some amazing food. I will be back again soon in the future. I think once this place is open longer and the staff gets more comfortable with the busy times. The service will improve greatly and staff will be bit more attentive to all tables. Other than that this place did...

This was the BEST Mexican restaurant I’ve ever eaten at! We came from NY and stopped by. The food was incredible! I started off with a pineapple margarita and it was absolutely delicious. They don’t skimp on the liquor at all. They serve complimentary chips and salsa. For appetizers, I ordered the garlic shrimp avocado bites and they were amazing! Big, plump, and juicy grilled shrimp seasoned to perfection and the avocado spread underneath was so good. My husband had the beef empanadas and he said they were the best he’s ever had. The beef was shredded, flavorful and tender. The pastry dough was flaky and delicious. For entrees he got the smash burger which he loved. I got the pulled pork quesadilla. It was really good. I had enough to bring home as well. I’m so impressed. Very often restaurants will tone down the flavor to appeal to the masses and when it comes to Latino cuisine, that doesn’t do the food any justice. But here, the flavors are there and the portions great! The price was very reasonable. (Paid $85 + $16 tip) The interior decor is so cute and very welcoming. It wasn’t over done and was very esthetic. The bathroom was so nice as well. You could tell whoever did the interior design thought every detail out. We will definitely be back. I hope they...
