We’ve been loyal customers of this location since it first opened, and for a long time, we were always happy with the service. However, lately, we’ve noticed a decline in customer service especially during the evening hours. Daytime visits typically go well, but most of the issues we've experienced tend to happen later in the day. One ongoing concern is the inconsistency in how ice cream cones are made. This seems to be the only DQ where the size of the cone often doesn't match what was ordered particularly in the evenings. For example, today I ordered a medium cone, and I genuinely wish I had taken a picture. The cone I received was noticeably small more like a very thin child-size than a medium. I politely mentioned the mistake, thinking it would be corrected. Instead of remaking the cone, the staff simply added a small dab of ice cream on top of the same cone and re-dipped it. It felt more like a bad quick fix than an effort to correct the error. What was most disappointing, though, was the response from the team. When I asked one of the young employees if this was the standard of service they aim to provide, she simply smiled offering no apology or concern. Read moreThe food and ice cream is very good and the price is very acceptable, but when we go through the drive thru in the leesburg, florida location, they give you the items without a bag. I politely asked for a bag, and was given a slight attitude when i did. On another trip to the same location, i ordered ice cream through the drive thru, and i asked for a bag at the speaker, and when i pulled up, again no bag. I asked again for a bag, and was treated with a better attitude thankfully. On another trip, i asked for a sundae, with sprinkles and nuts, then i decided i did not want the nuts and again no bag, so i asked for one again. When i got home, i received a peanut butter sundae not what i asked for. I frequent this location much because the food and ice cream are good, but the attitudes of some of the employees are questionable. I have not spoke to the mananger yet, because if the attitudes i get for asking for a bag for my ice cream, and i am praying that these employees are trained and taught respect and great customer service. Read moreOk so this place deserves 10 stars for patience. I had a 12 year old in my group who had never been to a Dairy Queen and he was so amazed by all the options. He asked them to name all the blizzards/ shakes they could make and well let’s just say the cashier sure tried. 😂 after careful deliberation together they came up with the perfect one and they even customized his chicken strip basket to have onion rings and two different dipping sauces and no bread. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ I had several other kids and adults ordering and everyone else was seemingly easy and they got everything else out to us quickly. They checked on us even and that never happens at fast food places. So good job to management for choosing good employees. We were thankful this is the one we stopped at! Only downside is they don’t make the Hawaiian blizzards and so maybe they just don’t know how because I assume they have the ingredients.
