Great Lakes Chocolate & Cafe — Restaurant in Leland Township

I ordered a carame freezy with an added espresso and it tastes like milk there's no flavor at all I can't taste the expresso I can't take the caramel and even though she put extra whipped cream on it but there is no sweetness to it whatsoever when I get caramel I want sweet this was not sweet at all I feel like I got A glorified milk and I got a cherry pastry normally not a huge fan of cherry however the Cherry filling was phenomenal however the puff pastry was overcooked and I also got a lemon cake supposed to have lemon curd and Berry in the middle again no flavor no sweetness at all it tastes like whipped butter with a little bit of lemon extract It looks as if they know what they're doing but tastes as They've never Done...

As a former business owner/operator have some familiarity with dealing with disgruntled and impossible customers... Shaina encountered a former keyboard warrior and handled the situation with absolute grace and definitely better than I would. Her commitment to her craft is seen throughout the quality of what is served.

The place speaks for itself.. the food, coffee and pastries were delicious.. need not believe the naysayer in the review section. Everything we had was on the mark.

Shana and her team are incredible! I've only been there one other time and not only did Shana remember me, she remembered my order! They make you feel immediately like family and always have some sweet treat suggestion/temptation to try. Last time I brought home their dark chocolate cherry turtles and had people begging for more, so of course I had to get those, and other treats, in addition to the DELICIOUS baked goods. Nothing I've tried has been anything less than mind-blowing - nothing is too sweet and has the best...
