I first tried Belinda's Familia Mexican Restaurant at Taco Fest. The owner was kind and charismatic, and the food was quite memerable. Enough so that, months later when deciding what to eat with our visiting neice on Taco Tuesday, we remembered Belinda's in Spring Valley. We got there and we're imediatly greeted with amazing hospitality. During a slight lull the owner came and talked to us for a short bit and we discussed the concert at the end of Taco Fest. The food came out timely and was delicious I recommend the carnitas and you definitely can't go wrong with the carne asada. Had a bite of my niece's chicken, it was pretty good too even though I've been a little done with chicken lately.

Read moreLiterally the best most homey restaurant we have been to yet. The food is outstanding (we ordered the chile verde burrito, carne asada street taco plato and chile relleno). The customer service is unmatched. The aesthetic is A1. It is SO cute here! The owner is such a lovely woman. It's like being home again. Eating here I feel like we are sitting in mom's kitchen. It's such a beautiful place. We will definitely be back.
Note: There is a salsa bar and on non busy days there may not be much agua fresca so just get a soda or ask for some water instead. They will always accomodate you.
Also note, definitely the restaurant has a my "mom's house" ambiance. If you're looking for fast paced, in and out one and done service, this isn't your place. Come in. Sit down and soak up the beauty of this place. You...
Read moreDo not recommend it every now, and they go to SDSU. Their three street tacos offer are not worth it. I got three meat tacos with no guacamole. When I asked for guacamole, the guy seemed bothered and said that's extra. If they charge extra for guacamole in a taco, they should list it on their menu. I've never been in a place where I've gotten a carne asada taco with no guacamole. When I asked for lime, the guy seemed bothered again and said I do not have any. Also, their tacos are tiny. I do not know why they say that they are authentic. They are far away from being authentic...
