In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in Lemon Grove

We went through the drive thru we’ve only been a few times. There were a few cars in line but I’ve seen it much worse. The kid taking our order was in such a hurry he rushed us through our order. My husband was actually eating his at home. We ordered 3 meals so what would make this kid think my son and I were eating 3 meals I have no clue. I’ve never felt so rushed making an order. I’m always asked if I want onion grilled or raw. He assumed I wanted raw in one and grilled on the other.

When I get to the window there are 4 sodas. Clearly the kid taking the order didn’t care and was in such a hurry. I ended up with 4 sodas. The lady at the window took one off but we still paid $31 for the food that wasn’t good at all. My husbands was to go but since dude was in such a hurry to take our order he didn’t ask so his came out as if we were eating it in the car. Needless to say by the time I got home it was ice cold and my husband refused to eat it. The french fries were ice cold from the second we left the window.

So I paid a little over $10 for a meal my husband refused to eat because the dude taking the order was in such a hurry he thought we were eating 3 meals and paid for fries that were ice cold.

I’ve been to this location twice and I will never be back. Do better. You pay these people enough to care about their jobs, to care about the orders they are taking, the food they are serving. I’m highly disgusted with what we got and what we paid. We weren’t treated like customers at all. If this person taking orders is miserable...

Food was surprisingly good, even for In-n-Out. Slight problem with the drive through made the experience very negative.

After waiting my turn to get in line a maybe police office, but looked more like private security, said I could not turn left, I needed to leave, and he would prevent them from taking my order. There was no such sign, and he watched me wait my turn for 3 minutes before saying anything. Also, while speaking, a really long line of cars turned in at the light, making getting out of line and back in a crazy wait.

Clearly in-n-out had not such policy as the fake cop had to walk over and tell the guy taking orders not to take mine. I don’t blame the young man who just wanted to take orders, but he told me he could not take my order after the security guy walked over. He also refused to call the manager, but said I could talk to him at the window.

Manager was much nicer. Very friendly and took my order at the window. It slowed the whole process down though.

I know in-n-out has crazy lines and thus needs special traffic management. I always comply with the signs. If left turns were not allowed, fine. Put up a sign. There was already a sign right where it should be saying to u-turn to exit the drive through… which nobody seemed to follow. Alternative, if a sign is too much trouble, and if this was your employee, have them wave people away before they do the thing you don’t want instead of waiting until it causes bigger problems.

Normally the service at in In-N-Out is great tonight was a little busier than normal for Thursday night but we were waiting very long time for our food. Then just as my boyfriend went to go check on the food a young lady started walking around asking for numbers I told her my boyfriend's number and she said oh no that's not it then my boyfriend came with his receipt she checked the receipt and again she told us it was not our food then she proceeded to walk around the restaurant again and outside then he finally got to the counter and she then told him oh yes this is your food. meantime our food is now cold and has been paraded around the restaurant and outside uncovered so I ask my boyfriend to tell him to refire our🤔 Burgers the guy just took the receipt and the food and walked away did not come back did not tell him they were refined the food or anything about five minutes later somebody comes looking for him and hands them warm food now they did fix the problem but nobody said sorry nor did they communicate that they were going to fix the problem just a little frustrating tonight especially when I'm used to the service being very good there and I'm pregnant and I was hungry so a little bit more irritated than I probably would have been normally or maybe not I guess we will...
