I used to LOVE this place. I literally would rave and send people over here. I came in two weeks ago and got a full gel set paid $40. Thought that was great! Walked out a very happy customer!
Made an appointment again for today and the lady that helped me (wish I got her name) was super aggressive with my nails and looked like she was in a hurry to get them done. She knew I needed a gel refill and when she started shaping them she did not even bother to check to make sure they were even. Guess what? Not even. She got annoyed anytime I made a groan and at least 5 times I had to pull my hand away because each time it felt like she was cutting through my skin and my fingers began to burn. She sliced my pinky and it even started to swell up and she didn't even apologize. My pinky nail (on the one she cut) did not match my left pinky nail so I had her reshape it (which she was not happy about). She did not even clean under the nails so there's some residue from the gel and powder mixture and a lot of the nails have bubbles and one nail has a small piece of lint or thread in it.
It's upsets me because I told her I was getting them done for my bridal shower and I wanted them to be perfect.
Upon payment it was $30 for a refill. I wondered if the prices changed because I only remember paying $20-$25 for a refill. When I asked the owner questions about prices he had to ask the nail techs bc he had no idea how much the prices are. Shouldn't you know your prices if you own the nail salon? It sounded like the nail techs get to make up the price on the spot.
On yelp there's a 5% off any nail service upon check in and they denied me the service. Guess why?! Because apparently they switched owners 6 months ago.
This place used to be great! But it looks like I'll be going elsewhere from now on.
I don't need someone rough handling my nails, nicking them to the point where the cuticle skin stings and have cuts. I left walking out with a rushed job, stinging fingers, and swollen pinky.
Not to mention it looks like they re-use all the buffers and her tools didn’t look very sanitary. I hope not to get an infection because they will...
Read moreI was coming from a previous experience which traumatized me. I went to another nail salon and the nail tech...lets just say I WASNT HAPPY to not bash the place. I called allure and they were VERY ACCOMMODATING. They got me in the next day with Trisha....i am not going to lie i was hesitant but i wanted my nails off (they were so ugly, bumpy, and crooked) so Trisha looked at my nails and said i can fix this....in my mind( no way, you cant fix this disaster) i then said no take it off the previous lady from that nail salon in LA MESA said the same thing and i ended up with these nails which i was embarrased by. Trisha insisted that she can fix, so i believed her ( hoping it was not another mistake) to my surprise she FIXED them....how? Im not sure, all I can say is that i have been TRISHAFIED lol...my nails are so pretty and she helped me pick the color I really wanted. She fixed my crooked nail without replacing it NOW THATS TALENT. She has an awesome personality and she is my new nail women. I am so thankful i found her! Thank youuu #nailslayer...
Read moreDo not go here. I really wanted to like this place. The ladies were so nice, but their work is terrible. I asked for a full set to replace my existing set of two months. I had serious lifting and I pointed out that I had a super glue one of the nails down to keep it in place The lady insisted that it was all fine and I could keep my set for up to 6 months without a complete replacement. The fill hurt because she lifted previous acrylics to trim them down and she burned my hand several times with the Dremel. The first polish she applied look like it was melting candle wax and the nails were completely uneven. When I asked about it she blamed me. I asked for it to be redone and they did without any question but she continued to blame me throughout the entire process. 5 days after the fill one of the acrylics peeled right off, and the damage she did trimming the previous acrylic is apparent. Today another nail started to lift, it's been 9 days. My fills last 2-3 weeks, this has never happened.
