Walked in to a very busy brunch crowd but to my suprise was seated extreamly fast. Which shows me a reservation is not needed.
This is the sister chain kates kitchen out of kansas city Missouri. So if you can't make it over here you can always check them out on the missouri side.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with suttle sport paintings on the walls and blown up murials of the kc metro area.
My service was outstanding. My server mariah was outstanding and I highly recomend you requesting her if you come on in on a sunday.
Onto the food. To start i ordered a coffee, and a half order if their biscuits and gravy.
The coffee was lackluster it didnt taste burnt, but it also didnt taste fresh. I rate it a 3.5 out of 10 or a 2 star out if 5.
The biscuits were fresh, pleantiful and offered a flakey finish with a melt in your mouth finish. The gravy that went with them was spiced just right and the sausage mixture accented it well. The buscuit 100%carries this combination up to a hard 7.5.
Next i ordered their traditional ensamble. 2 eggs over medium. Sourdough toast, 3 strips of bacon and roasted potatoes.
The eggs were cooked perfectly but could use a little salt n pepper this is a personal taste and not a reflection of what you may like. An 8 on the eggs. The sourdough was toasted and buttered perfectly and tasted amazing. A 9 out of 10. The bacon was smoked and had a very flacorful full rich taste that was not described in their menu but a great secret find that im glad i got to taste and enjoy a 10 out of 10. The potatoes slapped hard. A 9.5 out of 10 they were seasoned excelently and im glad i got to enjoy this combination.
Next i checked out a single serving of their caramel nut french toast. Its made with warm caremel sauce, fresh sliced bananas, pecans and powdered sugar. They also provide a ramekin of their house syrup. First i tried it with just the caramel and banana. And it was fantastic without any syrup. Then I tried it with the syrup and as if it couldnt get any better it did. The powdered sugar may have been slightly overkill on the sweet tooth factor but luckily its the sugar high I needed to start my morning off. An 8.5 out of 10.
Finally for dessert I ordered one of their cinnamon rolls. It came out steaming hot and I did have to wait for it to cool down. Even then it was still quite warm. The flaky crust and cinonamon really tasted nice, and I'm not sure if its overkill on sugar after just having their french toast but the icing was overkill on the sweet factor. The roll itself didnt quite lesson the blow. However it was still one of the better rolls. That I have had. A 7.5 out of 10. I will say the server warned me that they dont reheat as well as when their served fresh so I recomed getting this in house and not to go.
Overall I give the entire ronnies experience a 4 out of 5 stars or a 9 out of 10 on the...
Read moreWe love Ronnie’s, so I really hate to post this. Yesterday (11/7/22, 8:30am) we were served the carnitas wrap. I took a bite and my first thought was that it slightly tasted like fish. I thought that maybe it was the sauce. I took another couple of small bites, then asked my boyfriend to try/smell it. He echoed my thoughts. I took some of the wrap apart and noticed it was flaky, mushy, cold, and slimy. The bad smell immediately hit my nose. We sent the wrap back and told the waitress something about it was off and really gross. The wait staff returned and told us the entire supply of carnitas was rancid and spoiled. She said they could smell it across the room once they unwrapped it and then opened the container they keep the pork in. They were very kind about it and I didn’t pay for my meal, but my boyfriend had to pay for his and the coffee. We are now violently ill with food poisoning. He is completely bed ridden with shakes and clammy, in a massive amount of pain - I am heading that direction as the day goes on. We will likely lose a week at work and as a single parent, that really hurts. Spoiled pork can kill people very easily; I don’t know how they thought it was safe to serve at all. You could tell by looking at the meat pulled out of the wrap that it was rotten. I am so sad because Ronnie’s was our favorite breakfast place, but I’m terrified and paranoid to go back. The waitresses are the best in...
Read moreI am a person that has specific places where I get specific things. A specific place for burgers, another for a tenderloin, a place for Chinese, and Italian place, etc. Ronnie's is my breakfast place, which is one of the "spots" I am most picky about.
The staff is always super nice and the place is always clean, even though they stay busy. The booths are big and comfortable.
The food is fantastic. I am definitely a creature of habit with my orders and they stay within the same list of things, so I can only speak to what I have eaten there, but you won't be disappointed with the classic breakfast. Their potatoes are great, the sausage links are delicious (my choice) and the bacon is excellent (have tried my wife's). The biscuits are big and fluffy and have a hint of sweetness to them. The gravy is great, too! My wife loves the pancakes and I am a massive fan of the French toast. The cinnamon rolls are a little bit of heaven. Eggs seem fairly standard wherever you go as long as they are cooked correctly, so not a lot to say except that Ronnie's is great at making them how I order.
I love Ronnie's. We are moving to Belton and I will genuinely miss this place after the move has finished. Try it yourself and you will...
