I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Ugly Mug Coffee Shop in Lenoir City, Tennessee, and I must say, it left a lasting impression on me. The experience was nothing short of delightful, and I'd like to share my thoughts in this review.
One of the first things that struck me about the Ugly Mug Coffee Shop was the warm and friendly atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a genuine smile and a warm welcome. The staff here really knows how to make you feel right at home. It's the kind of place where you can strike up a conversation with the barista or your fellow patrons, and everyone is just so friendly. It's not often you find such a welcoming and cozy atmosphere in a coffee shop, but the Ugly Mug truly excels in this regard.
Now, let's talk about the coffee. The name "Ugly Mug" may sound a bit unconventional, but their coffee is anything but. They serve some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. Whether you're a fan of a classic drip coffee, a rich espresso, or a frothy cappuccino, they've got you covered. The beans they use are clearly of high quality, and it's evident in the rich and robust flavors of their brews. As a coffee aficionado, I was thrilled to find such a gem in Lenoir City.
Not only is the coffee exceptional, but it's also reasonably priced. In an age where a simple cup of coffee can sometimes break the bank, the Ugly Mug provides a refreshing alternative. You can enjoy top-notch coffee without the guilt of overspending. They offer a variety of sizes and options, catering to both the quick coffee fix and those who like to savor a larger, leisurely cup. The affordability of their menu is a significant draw for locals and visitors alike.
The Ugly Mug Coffee Shop also prides itself on offering a range of delicious pastries and snacks to complement your coffee. I particularly enjoyed their freshly baked pastries, which were the perfect pairing with my cappuccino. It's evident that they take pride in the quality of their food offerings just as much as their coffee.
The location of this coffee shop is worth noting. It's situated in the charming town of Lenoir City, which is a pleasant escape from the hustle and bustle of larger cities. Whether you're a local resident or passing through, the Ugly Mug is a great place to relax, get some work done, or catch up with friends. The interior is cozy with comfortable seating, making it an excellent spot for meetings or just some alone time with a book.
In summary, the Ugly Mug Coffee Shop in Lenoir City, Tennessee, is a hidden gem that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, exceptional coffee, reasonable prices, and a delightful selection of pastries. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just someone looking for a pleasant place to unwind, this coffee shop has something for everyone. I can't recommend it enough, and I look forward to my next visit to this charming...
Read moreUpon entrance, it seemed a hidden potential staple for 'Downtown Lenior City'. With a name like the "Ugly Mug Coffee" how could one pass up this potential haunt? Taking the "pug" approach to coffee with the name is no indication of flavor or atmosphere, as it was, on the contrary, a delightful experience.
I was served at the table for dine-in service. At the register, I was informed of all variations and options upon ordering by a kind, attractive lady with the most fierce blue eyes I may have ever seen. Upon learning that the 'Full Moon Latte' is one of their best sellers and signature drinks, I ordered that, a 'Passion Fruit un-sweet Tea' and a 'Flat Bread Pepperoni Pizza.
The Full Moon Latte was nothing less than a devastating blow to all lattes in boutique cafes across the world. I have traveled across the world and enjoyed coffee in every country I have been to. I must say that this coffee is surprisingly bold. Also, it does not slow its pace with milk and whip cream. Simplicity and bold flavor provide me with true potential to separate and identify each flavor while enjoying it's overall deliciousness.
To spare your time reading this on the way here, the tea and pizza were memorable with fresh taste on both sides. Who would have thought that Passion Fruit un-sweet Tea and pizza would pair so well?!
To cast this experience in its proper potential I feel it absolutely imperative to mention a young man (of only 12 years old) by the name of "Alex Derose" who was expertly playing Classical Guitar for customers in the corner of the establishment. While keeping out of the way, the young man provided an atmosphere that would easily been confused with a Pandora radio station that hosted only the most proficient players. He stated "While I do not have a favorite, I like the Mozart Variation Theme, "The Magic Flute."" A German Singspiel Opera with many brilliant compositions by Mozart, to which young Alex only paid great tribute to by his surprising versatility and musical knowledge.
Overall, "Ugly Mug Coffee" was a delightful experience and I would recommend it as a 'MUST SEE' for all...
Read moreThis was the 2nd weekend on mine and the hubby's coffee tour and he chose The Ugly Mug. I had never heard of it but he drives by it on his way to work everyday. First off, I want to start off by saying I think it is the most clever name for a coffee shop! When he said the name I immediately cracked up laughing. After checking out the menu and reading the reviews, this one jumped to the top of our list as the next one to try and we were NOT disappointed!! They had an amazing selection of coffee's and breakfast items as well as lunch!
I opted for the hot Sea Salt Caramel latte and the buttermoon pound cake. The hubby decided to try the hot Full Moon latte and lemon blueberry biscuit. Of course, we also had to get 4 of the homemade brownies. One for him, one for me and the other two for the kiddos, of course. 😊 (Seriously, they were for the kiddos. 😊)
We got our order to go, unlike last week, only because the atmosphere wasn't as comfortable and inviting. It was standard tables and chairs. No comfy couches or chairs but they did have tables outside as well. We were, however, pleasantly surprised when we got to the car and found our pastries had been warmed up for us! Not expecting that at all!! We both very much enjoyed the pastries as well as the lattes. Definitely recommend this little place as well. 😋☕ (Please excuse the sloppy pic of our drinks & food. It was difficult to take in...
