Frankie's Pizza — Restaurant in Lenoir

The seating area is small but the food was great. We were in a party of 8. Two couples got the large pizzas and they were huge. I got a calzone - pepperoni, cheese, peppers and onions. It was the best I’ve had. The original post was 5 stars - Update* Second time was awful. We didn’t stay to eat. We entered the restaurant and waited. The bartender asked what we needed - after saying we wanted to order she said it would be a minute. She went to every table asking if they needed anything and started cleaning the bar while talking to a co worker. Ignoring us the entire time as we stood by a dirty table. When I first walked into Frankie's Pizza. I thought to myself there's a pleasant ambiance to it, my eyes were very pleased. The food was okay. I had the chicken parm. It looked and tasted bland there's a lot more bread than chicken. I think the chicken was tenders and not a actual cutlet, my expectations were high, sadly disappointed this was not New York style. The beer selection was not great. Most likely, we won't come back. Another thing: Frankie's Pizza has only ONE Mixed-Use toilet. Think about waiting in line after drinking beers. I can see men going outside to relieve themself, but for women... we can't...

It is a bar that sells pizza. I was so disappointed in the new Lenoir location. I love the one in Granite Falls. I stood there like a deer caught in headlights when I walked in and saw all the alcohol on the wall. I started to turn around to leave when a polite gentleman asked if he could help me. I explained that I was looking for pizza and he said that I could place my oder at the bar. I should have left then, but I thought it would be okay to get a pizza to go. I was wrong.
