Hardee’s — Restaurant in Lenoir

Growing up Hardee's was the best place to go for breakfast. However it's no where near the way I remember it years ago. I'm not sure why I went today for breakfast when I had told myself on two different occasions that I would not come back to this location for breakfast. But, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Usually I would get breakfast within an hour of breakfast hours being over so I figured that's why it's not that fresh. Well today I came at 7 am. I order a sausage and egg biscuit combo. I realize that's a common item and some could have been prepared (obviously) before I placed my order. But , just like the last two times I had breakfast there, the food was lukewarm at best. I was really hungry and wanted to eat it while it was "hot" so I got it out the bag minutes after leaving the drive thru. There was absolutely no way that my biscuit had been made within the last 15 minutes. It really upset me today because I was really hungry after working overnight at my job. Money is hard to come by these days. Everything is so expensive. So it really sucks to spend $7 on a small combo that tasted like leftovers just to turn around and toss it and get something else! I gave two stars since the coca-cola...

Let me start by saying I rarely eat at a fast food restaurant for lunch but when I chose to I expect friendly, quality service and an experience equal to what I pay. I arrived at this Hardee's around 1:30 to find 3 workers gathered at the register. I was neither greeted or acknowledged upon arrival. The cashier had a very bland attitude and everyone seemed more concerned with talking to the girl on break than providing the customer service for which they are being paid. After I ordered the $4 deal and was waiting the worker on break ordered a chicken sandwich, a chicken sandwhich she got well ahead of me and I was the only actual customer at the time. After a good wait I finally received my "deal" and the visit only became worse. The chicken sandwhich was cold, hard, and contained a piece of lettuce that I assume should have been in the trash. The burger was haphazardly slapped together and was so dry I had to smother it in ketchup to coax it down my throat. This was a horrendous experience that I do not look to repeat soon. It was without doubt the worse staffed "fast food" restaurant I've ever went to and in Lenoir that is...

I forget about Hardee's, especially this particular store because it's kinda all by itself as far as the rest of the fast food establishments in this area go...most every other fast food joint is located in an area about a quarter mile square and Hardee's is kinda off by itself, but that's no excuse to not stop in and get yourself some pretty decent breakfast or lunch, I'm kinda partial to the Frisco breakfast sandwich for breakfast of course and my favorite after breakfast sandwich has to be it's big cousin the Frisco burger.... double of course. Yes I do recommend Hardee's, it's something different and very tasty as well. The only thing that I don't understand about the drive through at this establishment is regardless of how many cars are behind you in the drive through, yes even if you're the only customer on the property they will park you in a designated handicap parking spot and walk your food out to you instead of handing it out the drive through window... I don't...
