Robust Cafe - Central Street — Restaurant in Leominster

Good coffee and morning staff. Afternoon staff is awful! They hire girls that get too overwhelmed too quickly over the simplest things. I went here this afternoon (drive-thru) I asked for a Large iced coffee with 1 cream, 1 sugar AND a medium raspberry iced tea with sugar. Not hard right? We pull up to the window and wait about 2 minutes. There's one girl running around like crazy clearly flustered. The other girl was just sitting in the corner texting. I'm ready to just drive away when I realize there's a car behind me. The girl inside was preparing the order for the car behind me. Another 2-3 minutes goes by and she finally comes out and asks what the order was because she completley forgot. Again it's just a coffee and a tea. So she comes back after 3-5 minutes with a hot cup of tea and an iced coffee with extra cream (the order was 1 cream, 1 sugar). Now reminder I had said iced tea twice. Once when I ordered, once again when she forgot. I said for the THIRD time I asked for iced tea. She looks at me and goes "well we don't have that. Do you still want this one?". I left and went to dunkins instead. It was simple and quick. Unlike the painful show I had to watch waiting on apparently nothing because they didn't even have my tea. I'm not going here anymore until they hire people that don't make the simplest things complicated, waste my time, and aren't lazy. Allergic? Be AWARE! Not everything ordered is automatically allergy friendly!!!

I was sad to realize I could not eat here because most places have at least a couple things that are both vegan and gluten free since that is what they serve, but they don't.

I had an unfortunate experience when ordering a drink. After adoing about the "vegan and gluten free" options they did not have, I ordered an iced matcha with almond milk. I took a couple of sips and it was surprisingly but also suspiciously sweetened and my stomach immediately started to hurt.

Upon asking, I found out they put a non-vegan white mocha syrup in my drink. Not only that, I actually saw what they had on the counter and had to google the syrup myself to make sure it didnt have gluten!!!!! Im severely allergic. Aside from being vegan, and celiac, I'm lactose intolerant as well.

They didn't tell me about the syrup, I didn't order it that way, and had an allergic reaction on the spot on top of consuming something I don't believe in. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I've never not been asked, especially after talking about my allergies, if an undisclosed ingredient is okay. They completely disregarded my allergies!

Had I drank the entire cup I could have had a much more severe reaction and would have been in a really bad situation. I will not be supporting this business...

Updated 2/27/22 … I tried to give Dippin another chance before work a few days ago. I ordered a small coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The coffee was disgusting and the sandwich was completely wrong and contained something I can’t eat. It was twice as much as what I ordered. I couldn’t go back so I called and was told to come back the next day for a “free” sandwich but I didn’t bother. Giving me the correct item the next day doesn’t make it free, I paid double for it. I received a text after writing a review on a link in my emailed receipt and I was told that I had the wrong business and that they don’t “offer that service” which makes zero sense. When I corrected them and sent screenshots of my email, they stopped responding.

I ordered an iced coffee with extra cream and got a very dark coffee with just a splash. Unfortunately I was in a rush for work and didn’t have time to turn around. I couldn’t even drink the coffee so it was money...
