I am a tried and true Biller Miller fan as long as I've been a lifelong resident of San Antonio. But this has become a repeated disappointment. Every time I have come to this location through the drive-thru, my order is wrong. Either something is missing or something is wrong. I order a Po' Boy and request onions & pickles and they aren't in my bag when I get home. I request plastic silverware (which should be a given when you get a to-go order that requires it like potato salad or green beans) and it's again - not in my bag when I arrive at my next location. Not everyone is picking up food to eat at their house and they may not have spoons, forks, knives at their next stop. This last time I went to this Bill Miller - I ordered an extra side of green beans and then my French fries were cancelled. So, I was missing a side when I went to take the food to a family member. I understand possibly having to double check your order but every single time? It's really gotten out of hand. How are customers supposed to open up all the to-go bags and let their food get cold or make a mess just to ensure their order is correct? Considering every time we've visited this Bill Miller location, there are many MANY employees visible - taking orders, preparing food, serving food, packing up to go orders - you would expect the entire to-go process to be much more accurate and efficient. I hope that this Bill Miller can get back to being the Bill Miller us San Antonians...
Read moreI grew up with Bill Millers #1 store right down the street from where I lived. Southcross and Goliad. The building was nothing special, but the food was stupendous. My family would go and get sausage, beef, or pork poorboy sandwiches from Mr. Miller and his son's who worked there. Doug Miller and I became good friends and I worked with him at the #1 store for quite some time, battering their delicious fried chicken, making their trademark cole slaw from scratch fresh in The morning, putting a huge batch of pint of pinto beans on to cook and, finally, those trademark hash browns that are cooked on the griddle until they're slightly crispy and golden brown. From the time I was a child until today, 6 decades have passed. Things have changed, especially prices, but the food that Bill Miller has spread across Texas has never changed. The poorboy, the beef plate, the sausage, the chicken, all take me back to a time when food was real and delicious but is still available at each and every Bill Millers Bar-B-Que. Oh man, don't forget the sweet iced tea in a Tea Bucket and a slice of heaven, pecan pie. I have always loved the brownies with nuts, though. And with that I'll let your salivary gland rest. Good eats are automatic at...
Read moreEvery time I go to this Bill Miller the service Is horrible!!!!... I love the food at Bill Miller so that's NOT the issue. They are rude and cold and never say "Have a Nice Day!" Or use the common manners you SHOULD have when you have a job! They always give me attitude or make a face when I ask for extra hot sauce or ask for extra condiments. Sorry its "so hard" to get these things. They way they package my food is ridiculous. I love the salad de-light and it never fails that the salad is so wet it breaks through the bag it comes in. annoying.... I appreciate the fresh greens and turkey in my salad, but double bag it or something. Of course when I get home to eat I get out of the car the dressing lid was thrown in there and when the bag tore because my salad was full of water my salad dressing spilled all over my driveway. Ok fine I can get over it and the ONLY reason I continue to go to this location is because its the closest to my house. Please hire friendlier people and people who actually give a crap. I have worked in food service for years so I know that it can be draining but fake it if possible, or just put a smile on your...
