Hong Kong buffet — Restaurant in Leonardtown

If I could give it 100 stars, I would. This place is amazing. Every other Chinese buffet is have been to has had the same baseline taste across the whole buffet (bland at that), but this place seems to actually differentiate each of their dishes bringing a variety of flavors to the table. I tried everything and everything was delicious. The egg custard is gold. I could have died stuffing my face with those, but I didn't want that to be on my obituary. The unsweet tea is on point; I hear you say that is easy to make, but some places just don't "get" it; I could have died drinking too much but they stopped giving me refills after the third glass. (I had finished eating and was socializing so no foul)

Family and I went for lunch. This was our first, and likely last visit. The food quality was just okay. It’s not something I’d drive 14 miles for again. Some items were better than others. A lot of the items with sauces weren’t very thick more so soupy/runny. The sesame chicken for example almost slid right off my husband’s plate. I’m used to a sticky based sauce. Other things were bland or cold. We arrived 35 minutes into opening. I didn’t expect anything to be cold so soon after opening. There’s room for improvement between the food and cleanliness of the restaurant itself. The carpets were in bad shape. I still don’t know why places have carpet in restaurants. Second time visit to this place in a year and a 1/2. The wife and I decided to give them a second chance.. Food was overly dried out and chewy. They brought out another batch of fried chicken, and it was still dried out and over cooked. It looked like something they had cooked a week ago and just reheated it. If you can wait to use the restroom till you get home do it. Most unsanitary restaurant I have ever been in. The hostess sat in the corner on her cell phone the whole time we were there with her back towards us.. if we needed something, we just got it ourselves.
