We haven't gone in about a year because of poor service. We decided to give it another try. We get to go out to lunch or dinner one to three times a month, so it's important to us to get good service and a good meal. Server was quick and got our order in right away. Then it all went downhill. Between the server disappearing in the back for long periods of time, waiting an hour for our food, being told the kitchen is running behind (at which time our server asked if we wanted an appetizer while we waited.... if the kitchen is running that far behind, why would I order an appetizer???), and then paying full price for the meal (we paid on the tablet because our server disappeared yet again and we just didn't have any more time to wait) we will not be here any time soon. Our server also originally told us the kitchen was running behind, but I got the feeling that our order was forgotten (this has happened to us a couple of times before and is the reason we stopped going). He let it slip at one point that "things get forgotten" as people around us (that arrived 10 to 20 minutes after us) got their food, finished it, paid their bill, and left. We paid $50 for a SALAD (yes, it took an hour to get a salad), chicken parm, and kids slider lunch that took an hour to get to us. Benefit of the doubt, I believe that if we had waited for our server to finally come out onto the floor again when we paid our bill, we would've got a discount or something comped and although it wasn't specifically stated, I think it was insinuated that if we had gotten an appetizer, it would've been comped (that may just be me wanting to be hopeful). Also it was somewhat busy (Friday lunch). The food was good when we finally got it, unfortunately we just ran out of time and I only got to eat a quarter of my salad at the restaurant (salads don't keep well and the rest was soggy and not very appetizing by the time I was able to finish it). The manager also came to our table at one point and very cautiously asked how the food was. It was like he wanted to see if we were going to be upset about it (luckily my husband had taken our son to the bathroom because he probably would've told the guy exactly how disappointing the lunch was). I was disappointed that he didn't take the opportunity to attempt to make it right (instead of seeing if we were going to complain enough that he HAD to make it right). He didn't apologize or try to make amends. Hopefully we will be able to go back some day and have a positive experience, but we are 0 for 3 in the last year...
Read moreWhen we first walked in, hostess was nice and our server James (I think his name is) was super cool and then it became a downfall of a night. Our appetizers came out and mozzarella sticks were not even cooked through all the way. I made a comment to my fiancé we had no napkins and the hostess heard me and said she would grab some and completely forgot. Then our main entrees came out literally 5 mins after appetizers which gave us no time to enjoy the appetizers but atleast it came out fast so I brushed it off. At this point, still no napkins at all and no silverware to eat our food either. I then had to wait 5 mins while our food got cold before our server walked by and I mentioned we had no silverware and no napkins. The moment he dropped them off and walked away, I realized they forgot the veggies and sausage in my pasta that was already getting cold. I then waited another 5-7 mins for my server to return and to tell him my food was incorrect. I then waited another 10 mins for my food to be corrected and by that time I was eating alone because my family had finished their dinner. My server mentioned to get me another Pepsi which he proceeded to completely forget that right after walking away. 5 mins later, the manager came out to apologize the order was wrong because I didn’t even notice when sending it out and I had to mention I still didn’t have a refill yet on my soda. He was very friendly and nice at first and made sure we got taken care of but then it got worse again. After finishing my dinner, we waited 20 mins while NONE of our plates (appetizers and main course) got bussed from our table awaiting to get the check. The manager checked on us and immediately brought the check. I mentioned to him the terrible experience we had compared to last time we visited and was very apologetic and proceeded to give us a slap in the face of a discount of 4 dollars. I’m mentioned the struggles we had ever since taking our seats and that I would like to see a better discount because of the terrible service we received and came back with the check and he took off the mozz sticks from the check BUT then he removed our discount he originally gave us…….i have never experienced a visit this terrible. Got some Buffalo wings as an appetizer, a medium rare steak with onion rings and bacon Mac and cheese for me, and a corn dog with apple sauce for my daughter. At first everything was going perfect. Service was quick and the server was on point with our drinks, getting our order and bringing the food to the table. About a quarter of the way into my meal, my daughter had to use the restroom. I get up and take her. When I'm coming back, the busser has take all of mine and my daughters foods and lumped it all onto one plate with her bare hands. I stop her and ask her what she's doing, and tell her that I am still here eating and point to my phone that I left on the table as an indicator that I'd be back. She apologizes and takes off. I ask my server for the manager because of the situation with my food. The manager comes and I express my concern regarding the busser not communicating with the server about my table. I tell the manager it's no big deal and she offers to remake my food. I tell her I'm in a hurry at this point now because I was going to be getting my food to go because I had to leave. She says that's perfectly fine and she will comp the meal except the appetizer of wings and have it made to go for me. I wait another 20 minutes for my daughters and my food to come out. The manager brings us our food and gives us our ticket with the compensation on it. At this point I'm ready to give the waitress a good tip because my bill has been cut by 2/3 and her service was great. I put my receipt and debit card at the end of the table and wait... And wait. And wait. My server never once came back. I was at this point waiting another 20 minutes after I got my new food just to pay and mind you, I ordered a medium rare steak. When a steak sits for that long in a plastic box, it cooks it more. I finally got tired of waiting because I leave to get back to my family who was expecting me home 30 minutes earlier.
