The Cupcakery — Restaurant in Lewiston

My sister chose to order birthday cake from this place for a special 3 way birthday for 3 sisters. By sister lives in South Carolina so the communication was all done through email. I’m also one of the sisters and This was my 40th birthday party. She wanted to have a special cake made that incorporated all 3 of the sister’s personalities. She specifically sent her pictures and ideas that she wanted. When my sister went to pick the cake up it ended up being three separate cakes. The cake decoration was not great. It looked very mediocre and they were not anything close to what my sister had sent her in the emails. My sister called the bakery today to ask to not have a full refund but to at least have some Money back for not getting the cake she ordered originally. A worker spoke with her (not the owner) the worker was basically being the middle man between my sister on the phone and the owner of the bakery on the phone. The worker told my sister that the owner said she can’t do cash back but do a gift card instead. My sister doesn’t even live in this state so that’s useless. My sister then asked to just speak with the owner instead to make it easier and the worker said she couldn’t because she was busy. This is very unprofessional. When you have a business your main priority should be pleasing customers. My sister should have got a full refund in my opinion as she did Not get what she ordered at all! This is a huge disappointment and now a very big blemish on this business. I will Not be using this bakery as they do Not seem to have any care in making mistakes right and treating customers with at least the dignity to speak with them on the phone...

The Cupcakery is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Jenn and Angel were two of the sweetest people we have met while here in Maine. We moved here from CA over the summer and they gave us some really cool tips on places to check out in Maine. We really appreciate their awesome customer service and the CUPCAKES are by far the BEST in MAINE! I LOVE the sweetness and creamy texture of the frosting. These cupcakes would be perfect for any type of special event!!! In addition, I purchased a hot Chai Tea and is was the perfect blend!! and way better then any I had in Ca at a major coffee chain :) Next time we are visiting this area we plan to stop by and try some of their lunch items and coffee! As they seemed to have a great variety of yummy sounding items! We highly recommend this shop to anyone! And thank you again Jenn and Angel for the wonderful tips and thoughtfulness you showed us!! It was very sweet...

I had planned a 1st party for my son. I ordered 6 dozen cake pops as well as 2 smash cakes. I went to serve him the smash cake and he couldn’t even put his fingers into the cake. I went to help him and the cake was literally a rock. I broke it over his high chair table and it crumbled. How embarrassing with all of my family standing right there. I immediately through it in the trash.

I reached out to the owner via email and she asked if I would bring her a piece of the cake and they may be able to determine what happen….. It’s been sitting in the outdoor dumpster for 4 days, I replied to her email.
