Doctors seem to be fine.
The receptionist, billing and clerical staff are horendous. I keep getting bills billed to the wrong insurance. When I call Billing, they blame me for not bringing in my new insurance card into the office even though I did.
When I bring in my insurance card a second, third.... even up to SEVEN times, they STILL do not update it and I get billed wrong. If I don't call billing for each bill I receive, it never gets billed to the correct insurance. And each time, I get blamed for their screw ups.
I have stopped bringing my daughter to her appointments because I cannot stay on top of their clerical errors. It's too expensive. Sadly, they are the only in-network provider for my insurance so i cannot go anywhere else.
The absolute worst. No wonder your hospital is hemorrhaging money.
EDIT: after calling patient services, they did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. Never received an apology, never received a call back about what they intend to do to fix their problems.
I just received a bill for a doctor's appointment that happened two and a half years ago. I called the billing department 6 months ago asking if they sent us all the bills, they said yes.
Obviously they are all incompetent.
Edit2: after calling multiple times to the billing I was able to get them to admit their mistakes on 4 visits with my daughter. To their credit, we ended up wiping $750 off my total bill. We still had a disagreement on one bill, and I contacted my insurance to pay it. After they paid it, that bill was wiped out.
I just received a collection notification from ACS regarding the disputed bill AGAIN. and not only that, it's on their twice!!!! I have not been to this practice in years and my debt continues to grow.
