First time I went, exquisite. The service was very friendly, atmosphere very modern. Loved the plants and art. The avacado toast bread seemed homemade, thick and fluffy. Very delicious. The egg and cheese on an English with pesto was amazing. Coffee was great, and the iced chai great. Raved about it since, returned today ( approx 3 months later? ) Looking for the same experience. The 2 food items offered for the day were avacado toast or peanut butter toast. Apparently the owner didn't make anything for the weekend in terms of food this weekend? The bread it was served on was most definitely different, very thinley sliced and likely store bought. Maybe the owner typically homemakes the bread as well? The seasoning added was so salty it wasn't even edible. And for $5? Coffee was still good but wasn't impressed with the bread inconsistency and the HUGE OVERLOAD OF SALT ON TOP. Maybe just a bad day but I don't know if ide return. I don't like gambling away my money on breakfast, wondering if it'll be fresh/correct/consistent etc. otherwise ide go through the Dunkin...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI discovered this place on my way out of Lewiston today. I used to live in Lewiston from 2004 until 2020. Anytime I come back to visit, I always check to see if there are any new developments. Sure enough, there have been several in the last 3 years. This one is one of my favorites that I just discovered today. The person who greeted me was very personable. I got the brown sugar cinnamon iced latte. It wasn't overly sweetened and that made me happy. A lot of places put too much sugar. Besides, I'm sure there was plenty of sugar in the very tasty brown sugar cinnamon bun I got. It was the perfect pairing. The only strange thing about this place was there was no music playing, like one would expect from a coffee shop. So it was a little quieter than I expected... Not that I think a coffee shop should be loud but I guess I'm just used to there being some sort of lofi or jazz playing...but I don't suppose that's a bad thing. That's what your own headphones and music is for, right? Haha I'll definitely be back next time I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is hands down my absolute favorite coffee shop in Maine. Iāll admit, Iām pretty picky about my coffeeāI was a barista for about 15 years, so Iāve got high standards. When I moved to Maine and realized most people here just drink drip coffee, and espresso drinks seemed hard to come by, I was crushed. Then I found this gem, and everything changed. Now, lavender isnāt usually my thing, but the lavender shaken espresso here? Life-changing. I think about it all the time. Itās my favorite treat, and honestly, I could drink it every single day. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and Jenna is such a kind, genuine person who clearly loves supporting small businesses. To top it all off, the baked goodsāsourced from another amazing local small businessāare absolutely to die for. If youāre looking for incredible coffee, a warm vibe, and top-tier treats, this place is...
