Huge Rip Off beware! They are very dishonest!! I don’t give it one star, but it wouldn’t post without giving at least one star. I don’t want anyone to have our experience so I posted anyway. I walk in, wait for a while, ask if they still have $1 street tacos as I read online. The girl behind the counter says “yes” and I ask what kind. She talks back and forth with another man , they struggled hard to come up with types of tacos. I ask if they have cheese on them she says “yes” (They don’t as it turns out) I order two of each kind (8 altogether). When she rings it up later, she tells me it is $14 and they are actually not a $1. I am hungry and have invested ALL this time on this meal and say alright that doesn’t seem right, but okay and I hand her a $20. She then in giving me my change back claims she only has a $5 bill and can’t give me my $6 change?! What? So she basically steals $1 from me and walks off. Next customer comes in pays her cash, she now has a $1 bill. I wait for my food for awhile, she finally brings it to me and I say”did you find a $1 to complete my change?” She all of a sudden can’t speak any English she tells me and walks off rudely. Worst of all the food was awful! So sorry I ever stepped foot in there! Turns out all the great reviews on Yelp... different management! Don’t waste your...
Read moreThey have tried at least 3 times to start a restaurant business at this location. Everytime they recommend me to come, they are already out of business.
Not the same owners of course but this is yet another attempt. And I wish them success, if anything for the genuine enthusiasm with which they have started.
The food is your typical Calle Food from Mexico City (comfort food, fast Mexican food).
The menu is more diverse than a typical taqueria plus they have home made horchata and something that is rare, real Jamaica.
In Mexico the success of a taqueria depends on the salsas and this place does not disappoint.
Green mild and red hot just as at home.
The lady owner is such a pleasant person that she deserves all the success in the world.
I know I will be bringing all my family and friends here and this will be a regular stop for sweet Mexican bread.

Read moreThis place is not honest. Thinking they had an off day, I went there twice - 5 months apart. The quality of food did not improve but got worse. The first time I went I spent $50. The food was very bland and the baked goods were very DRY. The second time I spent $40. They microwave the tortillas and repeatedly reheat the meat. The meat in the tacos is very little. DO NOT get the pozole - only 4 tiny fatty pieces of meat and nothing else in it for $16. I threw away everything I bought. My dog would not eat the tacos. LOL
It is a shame because I was prepared to consider them as a place to take my family for a family event that would spend at least $500-$800. The building has room for a large event but the food is not good and portions are not worth the pricing. Again, this place is not...
