Korner Cafe's sign board has been a constant lure for me ever since I moved to Lewisville, TX 10 months ago. It reads "ALL YOU CAN EAT CATFISH EVERY FRIDAY 4-10!" I'm from MS where fried catfish on Friday is a THING so I must admit I was a little hesitant to rack up a bill for a family of 5 for cafe catfish. As it turns out, it wasn't the catfish the finally "reeled me in". 😎 Oddly, I had some time to spare when I took my son to football practice this morning and I had a powerful weakness 🙃 for CARBS! Korner Cafe is directly across the street from the school so I pulled into the parking lot and Googled the menu. Out popped all of these yummy sounding dishes AND a Groupon. 😔 And sooo...

It was about 730 AM when I arrived. There were only about 4 other parties there at the time. I was greeted promptly, with a smile and a friendly "Hello ma'am. How are you this morning?" Upon my urgent request, I was promptly directed to the restroom which I found to be clean. Upon my exit, I was seated without delay.

The entire waitstaff consisted of beautiful Latinas (as far as I could tell from their accents) who speak English fluently. The restaurant is not huge on fancy decor but there are cute text-arts throughout the spot.

I was torn between Chicken & Waffles and Stuffed French Toast. So I ordered the Stuffed French Toast and substituted chicken tenders for bacon/sausage. Coffee to drink.

The coffee was good which is saying alot since I'm not a huge fan of coffee. I liked the Stuffed French Toast so much that I didn't use much syrup. BUT THOSE CHICKEN TENDERS THOUGH!!! YUMMERS!!!😋😋😋

Food here is always good and the staff are always friendly. They are always polite and you don't have told wait to long for the food. I like my fries extra crispy and they were perfectly done & not burnt. The menu is not too overwhelming(I don't like menus that have so much to offer you feel like you have ADD & can't focus long enough to decide). There is something for everyone to enjoy. They do have music on, but never so loud that you can't hear the table conversations. Friendly atmosphere. Food portions are good and so are the prices.

Update June 12th, 2021 The service here today was truly lacking. Our entrée was supposed to come with mashed potatoes and it didn't. I ordered a side salad and she didn't bring it out until she brought my entrée. They usually bring the side salad out in advance. Then trying to get our tickets was quite a wait. Now mind you when we arrived there were not many customers in the place. Maybe 2 other tables had customers. Then trying to get anything brought to the table that we asked for had to get repeated twice separately because she never brought us what we would ask for. Looking around as more people walked in & sat down, there were looks of frustration on peoples faces from having to wait so long for food or to simply be able to place their orders.
