Once again, beware the fake or puffed up reviews for this place. I’ve been to dozens of Chick fil a’s all over Texas and this one is by FAR the slowest drive-thru I’ve ever seen. Nothing wrong with the food, once you finally get it…if you don’t mind the 20 minute wait. I don’t know why I keep going back thinking it will get better but obviously this problem isn’t because it’s a new location anymore (it’s been open for several months now). If you want to see a smooth operation, try the Chick fil a in Terrell across from Buckee’s. No matter how long the line, your car literally never stops moving. It’s magical.
Back to the Lewisville Main St. location. A couple weeks ago I hit this place at dinner time and the drive thru line was out to the street. I thought this ought to be fun, so I pulled into the parking lot instead and went in. (I’m an older guy and used to work in the only pizza joint in Lewisville back in the 1970’s. You wouldn’t believe how busy we’d get on Football Friday night)… I thought I’d see workers flying all over the place like we used to. Nope. About 50% of the 20 people on duty not engaged at all…leaning back, chatting with each other, etc. BAD MANAGEMENT.
I know how hard it is the keep employees motivated, I’ve done it for 30 years successfully. It is not working here. If your $15/hr teens don’t want to work then fire them and switch to automation or something. I weep for America.
When I see the manager sipping coffee out back of the building while theres a line of 18 cars, (I’ve seen that here a couple times too) then I know y’all are not hitting all cylinders. I’m tired of the excuses and fake reviews. This place is a major screw up from top to bottom. The restaurant was a new design to handle high volume with easy egress, huge corner parking lot, two lanes of drive-thru, etc., but you can’t do better than this with poor management and lackadaisical employees. Shame shame shame. Y’all have truly missed the mark on this one.
The owner just responded and obviously didn’t read my entire review…
“HI Brad, we are sorry you had a negative experience during our busy holiday season. But we hope to serve you again soon. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
This didn’t happen during your “busy holiday season” (nice spin) no it’s happened from DAY ONE the place has been open. On multiple occasions. Try showing up unannounced and sit in your own drive-thru. It will open your eyes...
Read moreAs someone who hosts corporate events on a daily basis, I am a huge fan of Chick-Fil-A - Just NOT this location. Yesterday, I placed a catering order, over the phone around 6PM, for 40 people and showed up to the breakfast meeting without the plates I requested. I’ll take responsibility for not double-checking to make sure they were actually provided. No big deal. However, tonight, I tried to place an order (at 8:50PM) once I got the headcount for the meeting tomorrow morning. Call rang twice and then line was disconnected. Called back and it rang once before being disconnected. Tried a third time (simply to avoid the 40 minute round trip as I needed to get to sleep) and it rang four times before being disconnected. I’ve had this issue at this location multiple times around 9PM and just ordered from somewhere else, but CFA was specifically requested for tomorrow, so I had to drive up to the location to place the order. I assumed that they were understaffed or just super busy. However, when I arrived, there were several people just standing by the counter talking to one another and a short line in the drive-thru. Lobby was locked so I placed my order in the drive-thru, the lady standing in the lane hadn’t ever placed a catering order before (no big deal) so I opted to place the order at the window after being told that she had no idea why nobody answered the phone to take the order. Manager walked out and told me that their phone worked but it never rang. Told her that it rang several different times and kept being rejected. Then she said that people were probably just busy with closing duties and to call before 9PM. As someone who used to work in the service industry, I was surprised to hear that from a manager as it definitely wouldn’t have been acceptable to stop answering the phone over an hour before closing back in the day. As previously mentioned, I’ve had this issue multiple times at this location but didn’t feel like taking the time to write a negative review until having two subpar situations in less than 24 hours. Just posting for awareness for David Huffman.
Friday 7/6 6:30AM - Once again nobody is answering the phone. Called multiple times to...
Read moreI haven’t had a bad experience at this location until yesterday. I ordered some breakfast for me and my boyfriend for carryout. When I went inside I waited 15+ minutes in the pickup area without my food being ready. Everyone else who came to the pickup area got their food quickly. None of the employees asked me which order I was waiting for either. So I decided to ask a girl that came over to the pickup area if she could check on my order. She said “okay” and walked to the back but never came back to me to let me know the status of my order. A few minutes later I still don’t have our food and my boyfriend decided to come in with me. The girl I talked to before walked by him on her way to deliver a curbside order and brushed into his shoulder without saying anything. He confronted her about this and she proceeded to walk by him again without saying anything to him OR me about where our food was. My boyfriend then started trying to get help and speak to another staff member, but all they did was look at us and turn back to what they were working on. Only one employee tried to get the staff to come over and talk to us because he had another customer to help, but again no one did. Finally, the girl from before came over with our order and tried to just walk away without addressing why it took so long, or why she brushed my boyfriend without saying anything. Apparently, she was the “manager”. She wasn’t even wearing a name tag. And as my boyfriend was questioning her lack of customer service she said she “didn’t need to talk to him” and walked in the back. Not only have I never experienced that at this location until yesterday, I’ve never experienced that at any chick-fil-a because they are supposed to have high standards for customer service. This location is severely...
