I don't live in Texas just visiting and found this place on Google. I special ordered a carne asada burrito ( wasn't on the menu) and it was fabulous and just the way I liked it and I have such a hard time finding someone to make it that way! It was probably 2 or 3 pounds full of steak, Pico and quacamole (chuncks of avacodo I think). My husband got the smothered pork carnitas he liked it a lot and we shared street tacos that were the bomb and rice and beans ..my only complaint was the tortillas weren't warmed but I popped it in the microwave at my hotel and it was fine. TheTonly reason I took away a star is because you have to buy extra salsa past the one that comes with each meal and they don't accept a debit card for purchases under $5 but they hooked me up and gave me a bigger dish and complimentary chips (at the end of the night). I will be stopping here everytime I visit Texas the carne asada was so big it took me 2 day's to eat and was just as good the next day. Smaller places like this that arent fancy have the best food don't let the looks decieve you it's part restraunt part mini store but I'm so glad I tried it and it has my stamp...
Read moreUpdate - we went again this week and were again super pleased with the food and service! One of the owners was there at the counter greeting folks as they came in. When we got there I mentioned I had to look at my review and he said "Oh, was that you that left one about 2 months ago?". We talked a little about that and then he suggested two new dishes for us. We had the Enchiladas Potosinas and fish plate. We, again, were not disappointed!! Great flavors and incredibly fresh. This spot can be super busy, but well worth the trip. Such amazing food and incredibly nice people. Thank you again!!
We were looking for a new spot for Mexican food, so we tried Martinez Grill & Taqueria. Wow, are we glad we did! Food was delicious and everyone working there was so nice! We had the chimichanga, fried fish tacos, monterrey chicken, and churros. Everything tasted super fresh, and flavor profiles were spot on. We loved the red salsa so much that we took a Pint home. Even the queso was great. Only the rice was a little crunchy but easily forgotten, considering everything else...
Read moreI have been here multiple times, each time has been wonderful, food quality was excellent, spices are on point, call in carry out is fast, servers are friendly and helpful. Love the open kitchen, you can see what is going on back there. The atmosphere is simple and open seating, you order your food at the counter and then choose your seat. Salsa and chips are wonderful (It's not the chunky style of salsa it's the thin style) that they bring to your seat. Over all the restaurant is very clean and it appears that the servers stay busy with cleaning up if they are not serving customers. They have a written menu as well as a visual menu at the counter (it needs to be laminated because it is showing some wear) that shows you the actual food you are ordering, and when your food gets to the table it actually looks like...
