This place just happened to be in the right place at the right time... And boy, was I thankful! BBQ places are so hit & miss that a decent meal was really my only hope when I walked in the door. I should have known what the experience was going to be like when each of the employees greeted me, either in unison or individually, as I made my way through ordering. When I got my tray full of brisket, beans and fries, I wasn't sure where to start. I took a bite of beans and that was the right choice! Best beans from a BBQ place I have EVER had (I'm into my 6th decade on this Earth)! Then onto the brisket... First, a bite with no sauce, just to make sure it was worth eating... Holy smokes (see what I did there?), the brisket was spectacular too! Then some ketchup for the fries and I'm off to a great meal... Wait, of course there's sauces (3 choices... original, bourbon whiskey and habanero hot) and I always like to spice it up a bit, so I chose the hot one. The sauce had great full flavor, with just the right amount of kick... perfect! Top the meal off with some bread to soak any of that goodness I was leaving behind and a few pickles. As if that wasn't enough, one of the best parts about my visit was the staff... Whether it was Terry telling stories over my shoulder about the pecan pies his mother makes or one of the others making sure I had everything I needed (I'm guessing they didnt want me having any doubt I chose the right place for lunch), the whole experience was was top notch! I told the cashier when I was ordering that I was from far enough out of town that I wouldn't need a member card, but on second thought... I'm positive...

We arrived about 6:30. There doesn't seem to be any parking on site. I parked across the street since it was after hours on a Saturday. A sign on the door encouraged us to park at the parking garage "down the street".

There was a line, about 5 people, seating in the small inside dining room was mostly filled. Folks I was meeting were already in line.

They told me there was no brisket, then came word they were out of pork, two min later they were out of turkey, when I was next in line a lady came from behind the counter to tell me and the guy behind me "we're cutting our last ribs, so I think we're totally out of meat". I asked what they did have and she said "I can make you a burger." so I had the burger (which was good) and a cup of water for just under $16.

They were friendly, but still open for another hour and a half. We saw quite a few people come & leave empty handed.

I did taste the ribs (okay) and mild sausage (very good) my daughter had ordered. She liked the fried okra and Mac and cheese.

One weird thing is they don't have coke, Dr Pepper, Pepsi, etc. It's all some off brand, generic "cola" type soft drinks. (maybe you could order one in a can/bottle?)

They have great ratings overall, that's why we drove in to Lewisville try them. So, if you want to try their BBQ, you need to get there a little earlier than 6:30. And just know that like many other BBQ joints, it's pricey. $15+ for a good, but nothing special, burger with no chips, fries, etc. is just too much.

I would try them again if it was convenient and earlier in the day,but probably won't make the effort to drive here for...

Wife and I stopped by on a Thursday night . The food here was amazing. I had the 3 meat plate($25.00) and my wife had the brisket potato.($14.00) My 3 meats were brisket, pulled pork and mild smoked sausage. It came with 2 sides. I got cream corn and Mac and cheese and sliced bread. The loading potato was huge. I had to finish it for my wife.😋 Brisket was very good , had a choice of fatty, med fatty or lean. I got the med fatty. It was very good and full of flavor. Pulled pork was very good. Smoked sausage very good. The cream corn was super good and the Mac and cheese was very good. Everyone here was super nice. Owner came over and gave us some comp sides to try . collar greens and beans. Beans were good. The collar greens were not bitter at all. Very tasty,( I was never a fan of coller greens but these were very good ). We got here at 5:00 only 2 tables were full and the time we left at 6:00 the line was out the door . We ordered 6 slices of pies to go .($8.00 each). 1.) Carrot cake- I thought it was okay but my wife really liked it. 2.) Buttermilk pie - Very sweet . 3.) Sweet potato pecan pie - Very sweet 4.) Caramel apple pie - Good , would be better served with vanilla ice cream. 5.) Pecan pie - Wife and I really liked it. That was the winner. (Please see pics). While I was up getting the pies a very nice lady came down and sat with my wife to ask how everything was. In the conversation she told her on Friday night they have all you can eat fried catfish and rolls for $16.00 and on Saturday they have all you can eat ribs and rolls for $18.00 😋. We will be back to try the all you...
