This was my first time at a tilted kilt. We were visiting lexington and decided to try it out. The atmosphere was great, a little loud due to football games but not overly so or unexpected. Our waitress was great; she was on top of everything, checked on us regularly, ensured we were taken care of. However, the night started with us ordering food. Husband ordered a burger and I ordered fish and chips, as wed been told they were really good. He got his burger and that was when I was informed that they were out of fish and chips. The kitchen didnt inform the waitress when she placed the order, only when she went to collect that they had sold out. So I then ordered a burger. While waiting for my burger the table behind us had an issue. The woman had informed the waitress she was allergic to mushrooms and ordered her meal without them. However, after she took a bite of her food she discovered that it had mushrooms. I then listened to her begin having trouble breathing as she looked for her epi pen. The waitress was extremely apologetic and got the manager. I watched the manager go into the kitchen after speaking with her before coming to speak with the customer. When he did his response was not concern for her. His response was to apologize and say that he would comp her meal and then say the waitress had rung it in properly but the kitchen had messed it up. He did not one ask if she was okay or if she needed help or an ambulance or anything of the sort. He then walked away. The man with her went and spoke to the manager before joining her as she went to the car in order to go to the hospital as her breathing was getting worse with her reaction to the mushrooms. I felt this was a wholely inappropriate response by management due to the nature of the incident. It wasn't just an order that was wrong; it was an allergy that wasn't correctly paid attention to that then caused harm to the patron. It was honestly an unacceptable response. I then received my burger. I took a couple bites before realizing that the center of my burger was raw as the kitchen had rushed it out due to the earlier fish and chips incident. Overall I was severely disappointed with my experience here. Due to both the food and the management. The only positive was the atmosphere of the restaurant itself and the amazing waitress we had who did her best with the seemingly limited support she had with both the kitchen...
Read moreBeen on multiple occasions. Lunch time during week, supper time and Fight nights. Lunch specials are quickly made and pretty quiet so meals are served fast. Suppers and fight nights are great. On my count you can view 10-15 TVs while eating. Two pool tables and a patio that is open during good weather. Plenty of booths, tables and bar space. Big TVs for great fights. Burgers, chicken tenders and normal every day food is great. Today I had the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. Brown gravy was awesome cole slaw was thick and satisfying. Steak I ordered medium well not knowing the temp they fix. I wish I’d ordered medium rare to make it a little more juicier. All in all food was decent. Sirloin was $24 and ribeye was $28. Food price wasn’t terrible. Menu attached with price. Service is always 10 star. The servers always are smiling and have good conversation while you’re dining. Added a draft beer (Miller Lite) and it was cold and satisfying. Disclaimer, they are required to wear a skirt and skimpy top as their uniform. If that’s a no for you, then that sucks because the TVs and atmosphere are great. TouchTunes is here so you can pick your own music. They also have a music stage for music nights. Definitely need to come back for one of those. I’ve had great experiences eating here.
Why did I give a four star? There is always something to approve upon and the fact that when I go, it always seems dead with no customers…pack the place and keep it packed even when no sports or events are happening you’d have a five...
Read moreOne star for me, I'd zero but it's not an option. Saturday night, several major fights going on and we never even got past the front lobby. From what locals tell me this is the go to for sports and fights. Pretty much the only place that's not a hole in the wall. So we get here thinking we're going to watch the boxing match and are met with disappointment. The guy tells us it's going to be a 30-40 wait because they're short staffed, not sure how many waitresses called off but according to him there was only one on staff. The place wasn't even half full, and the guy ( and/or management) was clearly in over their heads and had no clue how to do damage control. Three parties walk in after us, we all had 2-3 people, so instead of telling us to sit there and wait for 30 to 40 minutes he could have offered us a seat at the bar (which was practically empty) or to self-serve at the bar and take it to a table. I would have had no problem having a couple of drinks while watching the fight that you were charging each of a $10 cover for at the door, while we waited for the waitress to become available. I do understand that restaurants get busy and there are wait times, however the idea of having to wait 40 minutes to get seated because your staff doesn't show up is crazy. So you close at midnight and it was already after 10:30 and then you're still going to charge us $10 cover after we wait 40 min to sit is asinine. Do better this was horrible customer service. I guess this is what happens when you hire a bunch...
