On the way home from helping my mom this evening, my husband, my son, and I went to this Bojangles to grab a bite to eat to take home. After the painful process of giving our order and having it repeated several times incorrectly before they got it right, we were told we would have to wait 10 minutes for the grilled chicken I ordered. No big deal, we waited. After waiting for over 10 minutes, an employee comes out and hands us a box and a bag and said we were still waiting on Bo rounds, still no big deal. Due to the ordeal with the ordering process we decided to check the food, obviously. The employee comes out in a panic as my husband is preparing to go in and let them know this is not our food. As she approached his door, he politely said, "this isn't ours" letting her know that was not our order. She looked flabbergasted and clearly annoyed. She kept asking, "Y'all went through it, Y'all went through the food?" My reply was, "Of course we did!" She grabbed the food with a huff and went back inside. As she walked back in, she slammed the food in the trashcan right inside the door clearly peeved that we had checked it before she got back out there. You are supposed to check your food. You ordered it and you paid for it so it should be what you ordered. You are also not supposed to deliver food to a vehicle and then try to go reclaim it for someone else. That breaks a few sanitation laws. The crazy part is, we weren't upset in any way in finding that the food wasn't ours and were completely okay with waiting for then to correct it but the attitude and questioning was highly unprofessional and uncalled for. We have been to this establishment many times before and had a great experience so this was hopefully a one time thing. If it was a bad day, hopefully tomorrow is better. We will go back most likely because the food is really good but if this is the new attitude and atmosphere, we will...
Read moreToday I went to lunch at this Bojangles with two of my friends and our toddlers. We went at prime lunch time and the place was super busy and they were working hard to get everyone through the lines quickly. Customers were all peacefully waiting to be served and workers were working hard to get everyone served. The manager was hard working and right in the front lines helping to get everyone served. However, there was one employee that was in a lower position that the manager was talking to very harshly for doing one job and not another (she was working just not doing the job at the very moment the manager wanted) and was being talked to very harshly and disrespectfully right in the front lines where all employees and customers could see. This was very upsetting to us as we knew the girl being treated in a very disrespectful way so we spoke up and asked the manager to treat her with respect as no one should be treated in such a manner. We were then told by the manager we didn't know her and that it is okay because she had permission to do so from the girls guardian, which we explained we do know her for she is our neighbor and we know she is sweet and quiet and won't speak up for herself and deserves to be treated with dignity.
Stress and fast pace places of work do not excuse the way you treat others.
This Bojangles was extremely clean, had great service, and great food. BUT watching someone get treated in such an insincere way was heartbreaking. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness. Don't work so hard that you forget kindness. You have no idea what harm you can be doing to someone's morale. Just because someone is quiet and will take your harshness doesn't mean it should be allowed. Be a leader and show kindness to all people from the highest employee, to the lowest employee.
Good managers are hard working. Great managers are hard working AND respectful...
Read moreI come here frequently as it is just down the street from my job. Yesterday 4/28/25 I clocked out of work at 12:09. It was 12:37 when I got back to work because I sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes. The boy at the window asked me 3 times what my order was. I got a 3 pc all legs and 2 mashed potatoes and gravy with a large tea light ice. It was rang up correctly but when I got back to work I have a leg and 2 thighs and 1 mashed potato. I hate thighs, but because I sat there for so long I didn't have time to turn around and fix it. I called and the boy I talked to was a young guy and I thought his name was Josh (it wasn't). He said to bring back my receipt and they would replace the order. I asked for his name again and he said "don't worry about it, they'll fix it". I came back today at 12:25 on my lunch break and went inside. I waited in line for the lady upfront to take my receipt go to the manager who loudly told the cashier (she was in the kitchen) I could hear her from the pregister say that they don't have a Josh and since all I was missing was a mashed potato to give me that. I didn't want to cause problems especially during the lunch hour but I guess the look on my face must have said I was upset because the girl said "get Jackie" to the coworker and I told her it's fine, don't worry about it. As a former manager of multiple fast food establishments- Jackie needs a review on the standards and I understand I came during my lunch hour at a bad time, I know how stressful it is. But I never come back to get my food fixed because of my anxiety and to be treated like that, like someone who is just looking for a free meal, is terrible. I will not be returning anytime soon. I used to eat there at least 2 times a...
