I have struggled with posting this review, but people should know. I understand that restaurants have bugs, but to make it in the food and out the door! Roach was found in my daughter's burrito! My food wasn't the best either I got chipotle shrimp the shrimp seemed ok but the mushrooms tasted like they were off. My husband was not excited about his fajitas either. The lettuce guac and... Idk there was a ROACH in my child's burrito! She is scared of bugs and will probably develop some kind of eating disorder from this which happened on Dec 27th they did issue a refund and were apologetic. However, the 45 min round trip (yes, I live in the middle of nowhere near the river) there to pick up the food and the 45 min trip to get refund and return all the food that was left and even left the fork right were it was mid cut (once the thing was found because everyone just stop eating once she found it) and the trauma on top of that was not compensated. Yes they kept my fork when the cashier tool the to go plate to the back and I didn't want to stick around and aske for it back because I was fighting back the urge to show the patrons waiting to be served. I truly feel bad to leave a bad review but people should know how man people are out of that same vat f rice that had the roach cooked in it? I might stop back by in a few months and agian I understand that all restaurants have bugs but not all of them have them in the food. It started off iffy when the hostess grabbed us 2 menus/packs of silverware instead of 3, as we were a party of 3. But we figured that she had just misheard us, so we went with it.
We were there for a good 10 minutes and realized that we hadn't been given any chips and salsa, but the larger table that came in after us had already gotten that AND their drinks. When our server finally came over, he took our drink order and came back with the drinks, but placed 2 on the table and stacked the 3rd on top of them... I shouldn't have to say why that's an issue. He left, and then came back to take our entree order, but we STILL had not received any chips and salsa. I'm not sure if it's a new thing at this specific restaurant that you have to ASK for them, but everywhere else I've been, they just give you the chips and ask if you'd like something extra like cheese dip.
Another thing that seems like it has changed, at least from the photos of the menu, is the Lunch Menu. We were not aware that at almost 3pm it was still considered Lunch, nor that they had shortened their menu from what it used to be with no access/ability to order outside of that smaller menu. What my grandmother had remembered liking here (Pollo Cancún) is NOT on the new Lunch Menu, so we decided to leave.

Read moreThe woman who served our table was rude. I was at first telling myself her expression had nothing to do with myself or the others at the table.
After all she could just be stressed or having a bad day. However as the interaction proceeded I could see her becoming more and more irritable.
Again I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I had a large party with me at the table. It wasn't really a problem until the end of the night. I had asked to order dessert. I am certain she heard me. I have a loud voice and while I'm polite I am not shy.
She locked eyes with me shook her head like she was in disbelief and left. When she came back instead of taking our dessert order she instead handed us our completed tickets and Again left.
I was upset of course but also confused. We came and went within an hour. We were not rude in anyway. The conclusion I came to was she must have been upset with a large party in the restaurant.
If so I would prefer having a sign or even being told there is a limit for the number of people at a table.
