While we have been regular customers for years, we had probably THE worst experience here tonight that we have had at any restaurant in years. We arrived just after they opened at 5 and had our order in (presumably) BEFORE the restaurant filled up. However, the waitress apparently did not turn in our full order, so instead of receiving our actual meal, we got the appetizer, the salad, and then my husband was brought his sandwich (no fries). We had to finally ask about our food, after 30 minutes with nothing else forthcoming, and it seemed that the waitress had no recollection that we had ordered anything else. I guess she turned the rest of the order in at that time, and about 15 minutes later my son finally got his burger, but after a full hour of being there it seemed clear that the rest of our food was never coming. Food did not come out as ordered, we could not get drinks - it was a real mess. After complaining twice, the hostess finally came and comped the meal and offered the sort of non-apology apology that drives customers away forever: “this week has been trying for all of us and some customers are more patient than others” - Ummmm. NO. When you are first in the restaurant and first to order then your order should be out first and the waitress should have enough brain power to advocate to get the order she turned in if it is turning up piecemeal, one item at a time.... Patience is needed when you come into an already full restaurant, NOT when you are the first ones in.... So now it’s off to try to find some actual dinner. Again. If only I can be...
Read moreThe service at County Club is mediocre at best. We arrived 20 minutes before they opened, walked in and one of the servers didn’t bother to say good afternoon or anything; instead they proceeded to tell us “we are not open, we open at 5”. They didn’t offer something such as, you are welcome to sit and we could bring you some water while you wait. That was the first red flag 🚩 We walked right out and sat in one of the “children’s chairs”. This is red flag 🚩 number two: The restaurant seems like a box of lost puzzle pieces, meaning it looks as if they received a bunch of donations of mixed matched chairs and tables and nick knacks. The outdoor are is nothing but gravel. Finally, a different staff person came and asked us where we wanted to sit. We sat inside as it was very hot and humid that day. I ordered the watermelon gazpacho and the smoked salmon salad; they were both good. I figured you couldn’t really mess that up. My husband and daughter didn’t have the same luck, they both ordered the burger and it was crispy and nasty. My daughter also ordered the coconut Bundt cake for dessert, that too was nasty and we got double charged for the cake. I ordered the watermelon Margaritas, they were ok, very small in quantity and highly overpriced, $13 a pop! In conclusion, less than average and overpriced food, terrible service, and they will automatically add a 20% gratuity charge to your order (not a suggestion but a demand, this is not optional). I highly suggest that you take your...

I like the steampunk decor of the restaurant - concrete, wood, and steel. Everything about County Club is not cookie cutter - they bring a corked bottle of water to drink before taking your order. Again, pretty cool.
I ordered the 193 Burger, hand-cut fries, and sweet tea. This is a $10 burger and I hoped it was worth it. The burger was a bit under cooked (from my preference), it was still pink on the inside. And, I'm not sure what the bacon jam tasted like - I guess I expected a spread that tasted like bacon? The ketchup on the burger was really good (I know that sounds stupid, but it was probably the best thing about the burger). I'd like to see a little different presentation on the plate - to make the burger seem bigger (maybe leave the top bun off of the meat) to make the customer feel they are getting their money's worth. The hand-cut fries were good - but I received mostly short, ends and pieces (the crunchies, as my wife calls them). The sweet tea was interesting (I don't think I've ever had cold-brewed tea before) - it was something I'd try again.
I'll go back to try County Club again...now that I know what to expect and maybe order a little...
