Kearney's Drive-In — Restaurant in Lexington

It took a long time. I had read the reviews of how it was so good and award winning. So that's why I went there. I had a double burger and a diet drink & I got a double cheeseburger, fries & a bottle of water to go. And it was over thirty dollars. OUCH! It was okay. But very expensive. To go only. No place to sit But your car while you wait. And pretty much wound up being the same price as a true gourmet, burger shop. The attendant was pleasant. Still, I will not go again. Dis I say it took a long time. Oh yeah, I did..... / Addition #2- I didn't mean the comparison to the gourmet Burger places to be flattery. I was only saying that the prices are as high as those places, not that the quality is as good. Oh about the benches on the side. Employees or some public workers were using them....... I am pretty tolerant and try to give nice reviews. But whenever a merchant has a problem and tries to correct me, instead of listening to me. I double down, and that's what I'm doing now. Make my review a two, Instead of three. / Addition #3- I saw that there is an additional reply from the business to my review update... My double down was called sarcasm, which it wasn't. Double meant, now I had had two bad experiences including the rebuttal. And down was the direction I was going with their score. From a 3 to a 2. There was 0 sarcasm. - - The business changed their own wording where they said they were "flattered" being compared to gourmet burger places. Their changed original comment was true sarcasm, which the business accused me of = in my double down action. No sarcasm that is what I did. - - Furthermore they said I spent less than I did. The business Challenged my honesty. I spent exactly what I said, in two transactions, 1 in cash & one on the card. I didn't like the experience at the business but this whole rebuttal process, of my honest review has made a bad experience = even worse. I had given them a 3 in the beginning. I was really not trying to be unkind, just accurate. So know this last rebuttal causes me to Triple Down. It is my 3rd bad experience and going down to a 1 , is where I rank the business. I will read no further rebuttals and I will not be back!! Finally, I went to another 50 year+ business later in the day (TerryHouse) and got a truly wonderful old fashioned burger. They were just recently given top business awards. And pride giving customers good experiences NOW, not living off laurels from another day gone by. If you go to their management about a problem, they make it up to you; not doubt your report. And make your experience worse by unpleasant reply to your review. Again, I will read no further rebuttals and I will not be back!! I will stay away from this business. If my experience is an indicator of their bigger picture, then be warned & go...

Sad sad day On the 8th we ate here(Ben eating here since I can remember. Put it this way hotdog’s were three for a dollar and I was 12. 40 years later worst food I have ever had from here. We order two hotdogs all the way and a hamburger with lettuce ketchup and pickles an order of fries and two drinks.

We got one hotdog that literally wasn’t good no slaw or onions. The burger was made the way someone else likes it. The bun and hamburger patty was all they got right on that. I guess I was parked in the free food section. One woman acted like why are you there and had to come out and tell someone to come around. Food went out the side door.

Oh did I mention they got two hotdogs mixed up with one. Wait wait we ordered one hotdog all the way and it was good.

This is usually the place I WiFi’s tell anyone to go to for hotdogs. To me its usually worth driving from Silver Valley to get this.

I still give them 4 Stars maybe it was a fluke

Saturday night 06March2021 Went back. Ordered 1 hotdog mustard and ketchup 4 hotdogs all.the way Two orders of fries One cheerwine one tea

Got one hotdog with mustard 4 hotdogs all the way with the ketchup that was supposed to go on the single hotdog. Guess that's why the hotdogs we different. One order of fries was just cold other was just fine. Hey got the drinks right. We ate in the parking lot so no reason for anything to be cold.

We were not the only ones others were returning to get replacements for their orders.

You were the go to,you were the ones we told people to go to if they wanted one awesome hotdog and everything else.

I can not put into words how AMAZING this place is!! I literally just pulled off with my food and OMG!! First off on the phone they were extremely detailed in explaining my options bc I told her I had never eaten here before. She was so patient and we even shared a good laugh. I knew the food would be good bc of the reviews but it was so much better than I expected! I ordered the double Kearney basket and sausage egg and cheese on toast! They were so fresh and the tomato on my burger was mouth watering! And I can’t forget that excellent customer service at the window! I was greeted as if I’ve known them forever, we were all smiles at the window and I received a complimentary towel bc of how juicy my burger was and my plate was so full it had to have a rubber band around it!! Not to mention our food was ready in only ten minutes! I forgot to ask their names but Thank you so much for a great experience! We will be back...
