Food Fun Adventure Saturday took Fat Man Reviews to Minton's at 760 in Lexington, KY. Minton's is a family owned restaurant offering small batch, handcrafted cuisine. We went for brunch and both opted for the Biscuits & Gravy Breakfast. The meal is served two eggs cooked your choice, hash brown casserole and your choice of bacon or sausage. I had mine with eggs over easy and bacon. The biscuits were medium-sized and on the first bite were kinda dry, but then when mixing in the gravy they drank up the gravy to make for a much better bite. The sausage gravy was thick but not lumpy and there was a proper amount of gravy served with the biscuits. This was surprising as usually I feel like there is not enough to go around. My only knock is that I feel the gravy could have used a touch of pepper to add a spicy bite. The bacon was a pretty thick cut and was cooked to a crispy perfection. The eggs were cooked spot on and were runny just like I like them. The hash browns were shredded and made with cheese. They were probably baked, but they got finished on the flat top or in a cast iron skillet to give it a nice crunch. The seasoning was good but maybe a bit light on the cheese, but overall the taste was really nice. My fiancé had hers with scrambled eggs and liked them. Minton's offers several sweet and savory options for breakfast and lunch, including a few vegan options. I overheard a few other patrons comments. One table got up and said that she never leaves reviews, but she will be leaving a good review today. Another dude ordered the seasonal special, Cinnamon Toast Crunch pancakes, and said "These are everything that I could have hoped that they would be." Another table ordered the Elvis Pancakes, which looked and smelled amazing. Minton's is a small joint with just a few tables inside or out, so there may be a wait as they make most things to order. To my knowledge they do not serve alcohol, as they only have canned drinks with sweet and unsweet tea. The Fat Man says that Minton's at 760 is Fat Man Approved and recommended.

Anyone that gives this place less than five stars is nuts!! I've read complaints about price, but everything is clearly made from scratch which takes labor and higher food cost. Totally worth the price. I got the savory French toast and almost did no tomato jam and the very pleasant women working strongly urged me to keep it on. I dont like tomatoes and I freaking LOVED that jam. So grateful for her recommendation. My husband got the steak and eggs and wasn't thrilled with it but thats because it was a strip steak and he doesn't like fatty steak, it was a sweet dream for me. I got the impression that if he had complained it would have been replaced immediately, without question. It didn't seem necessary as we didn't ask what cut of steak came in the meal. We got there early and got one of the last seats. It started filling up by the time we left. Food came out quickly though so I'm sure turn around isn't horrible. Small parking lot, but was able to find street parking no problem. Wish we didn't live 7 hours away, this would be a staple otherwise.

I don't do a ton of Google reviews but after looking through all of the reviews and eating at this establishment myself, I can wholeheartedly say: This place deserves so so so so so so much praise. From atmosphere, hospitality and attention to detail. The two gentlemen who Assisted us (Pierre and Nick?) were very knowledgeable of the menu and funny. Now, the parking is rough, but what else would you expect from a small business in Lexington? I work in the food business and this place blows my expectations out of the water. These people care for their guests and patrons, as apparent to how they respond to everyone's review with a genuine want to correct any issues. I can't sing this places praises enough. Whenever I'm back in Lexington, I am coming back with everyone I know. Thank you guys for the amazing place.

I wish I could tell you I had a favorite dish… each time I try something new it quickly gets added to my list of faves. Minton’s is a quaint little place full of amazing souls who KNOW food. There’s a small patio outside when the weather is nice & dinning inside too (or take it to-go). There’s so much character and love inside their building, you’ll feel the vibe when you walk in. My family and I frequent Minton’s a lot. My kids love the breakfast! Throughout each visit I’ve seen college students, business folks, families w/ kids and/or pets, and “retired” crowd too… you’re not going to find a “stereotypical group” eating here, all are welcome. You’re going to be dining with some awesome folks with smart taste buds! ENJOY

Very tiny restaurant I got to visit for brunch while on a trip. Seating is very limited, so get there early. The weather was wonderful so outdoor seating would have worked too. The person running the register was also our server it seemed and was very friendly and clearly knew their way around the small business. Portions were very satisfying and they seem to have options to make Several menu items vegan friendly, which is always a blessing. I ordered the Elvis pancakes which was a Generous full stack of pancakes with a brown sugar sauce with bananas foster and cayenne candied bacon. Sounded like it would have been to sweet and rich but everything balanced itself out with huge fluffy pancakes. I'll be back for sure!

Let me tell you about this place. Not only is the owner and her mother very kind. But they remember me and my husband every time we come. There is nothing like local food, and this is the spot to come to for brunch and lunch. They're only open for that amount of time 9am-3pm. The little brother and brunch on a bun (pictured) are staples. Can you tell I've been a million times haha? I've brought so many family members and they all love it. The place is small yes but it's cozy. Always has space for people. Just come in, talk with the family and have some homemade food.
