Read moreBought 30 macarons and paid $60. Was very excited to try them after reading all the great reviews. ...I cakes to place an order over the phone and when I asked about what flavors they currently had the last acted put out....(I tried to look online for an updated list of what was available before asking of course) but she suggested I look online for flavors. I politely told her that I had already looked and had also tried to order online but it wasnt letting me order the amount I wanted. I got several different flavors including blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, lemon, vanilla, lavender, salted caramel, samosas, and pistachio. Those are the flavors I remember. I was SO SOOOO disappointed. To the point that I decided to write this review-first I have ever written. They were so hard to bite into and so chewy it was insane. I think because i ordered over the phone and had my husband pick them up they unloaded whatever leftovers they had from the week or two before. They were VERY stale. With the exception of 3 they wereiterally just not edible...I ended up having to go to whole foods the next day to buy some from them that are made in their bakery and are literally night and day compared to the macarons I received from La Petite Délicat. Save time and money and go to whole foods and buy/place a custom order from Wholefoods. Will NEVER visit this bakery again. So soooooo wanted to love them however I was completely let down. It's...
Read moreI was in town visiting and looking for some authentic French/European Bakery and found this upon searching. This is an eclectic albeit oddly set up bakery/cafe. I ordered a cappuccino, a pistachio tart and 3 macarons. Let's start in that order. The Cappuccino was mediocre at best. Tasted like ratios were a bit off with more steamed milk and less foam than should have been. It was served in a coffee mug with no saucer and no foam art, so presentation lacked. The Pain Au Chocolate was served warm. It was light and flaky, had great texture and the chocolate inside was delicious and perfect ratio. Wish the dough had a bit more butter flavor. I tried one macacron (Dubai Chocolate) out of the 3 I purchased. Texture leaned on the more soft side. It was moist and had a nice chew and the filling was not overly sweet. I did not eat the pistachio tart while I was at the bakery but will update this when I do. The upstairs is cute with mismatch furniture and overlooks the bakery production. Main level feels a bit more astringent with white walls and minimal decor. Overall I would comeback. Photos are of the upstairs. UPDATE* pistachio tart was delicious but my favorite was the guava...
