Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Lexington

Beautiful shop with lots of giftknacks. Very friendly service even in a busy afternoon. Heed the name of the shop as they have nothing else but small and large bundt cakes. This is a perfect stop for getting your friend a personal single serving size bundt cake as a gift and maybe pickup a gifty wine glass or coffee mug gift at the same time. I do wish they had more exotically flavored varieties of bundt cakes... like passionfruit poppy seed or a mixed nut or fruit cake for the holidays or simply more choices of yellow cake batter based bundtslike a chocolate chip yellow cake or a strawberry cake with strawberrylime cremecheese icing or lemonlime zest yellow cake or an applewalnut bundt. I’m not a fan of white cake so I’m probably not the best judge of their numerous white cake based offerings. They do also have chocolate or red velvet bundts. I was thrilled to find out that they use cream cheese buttercream on all their cakes. These are way better than gigi’s cloyingly sweet missing the salt and zest cupcakes. The texture of these bundts is like a light fluffy cloud or a brand new mrclean magic eraser or angel food sponge cake combo. It is springy like a face makeup sponge but infinitely more delicate. The classic crustyness of the outter crust expected from a bundt cake is missing from these bundts which may not suit those who are big crust fans like me. If I could give this location 1/2 star ⭐️ I would. I have tried to order from this location about 6 times in the last several months with no success. The only reason they deserve a 1/2 star is because their customer service and I use that term very loosely is very consistent. Each time I call they give me an excuse as to why they can’t take a order over the phone and or process a order for same day pick up. I tried ordering a dozen of the-small cupcake size cakes I asked the young lady when she answered the phone at 6:07 pm what is the latest I can place a order she said hold on let me ask she returned and said oh there’s no cut off time. Keep in mind these cakes are frozen and just need to be thawed out for maybe 20 minutes and they are iced the same way. This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a cake place in Lexington KY ever!!!! The girls at the front were like duh I don't understand. They should have just said I dont know I just work here and it would have made more sense. They replaced cakes we had ordered with things we would have never ordered and then thought we should just be ok with the fact that that they didn't have what we ordered. We placed an order days ahead of time only be completely caught off guard at time of pick up that they were unable to successfully complete our order. No phone call??? Seriously?? What kind of business thinks it's acceptable to just replace an order without asking? They don't know of any allergies someone has like to "lemons" so why not take the time of your day to make sure you give the best customer service possible and pick up a phone? Why take a number at time of order if you don't clearly need it? Even the man that stated he's there every day had no clue what was going on. What a joke!
