I gave this restaurant a two star rating because it's food is ok. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and can speak English fairly well. The hygiene is questionable. The owner is terrible. We had a party of 40 plus people. The party room was a storage and not cleaned for the party at all. During the setup, a waiter volunteered to lend a hand to unload a keyboard and guitar amplifier for us. Before he walked out of the door, he fell hard on the floor because the restaurant floor was wet and very slippery. I felt sorry for the poor kid and gave him a $50 tip (in addition to a 30% tip ($150) for the food service). The owner came in 30 minutes later and yelled at us in a very unprofessional and uncivilized way and she shouted that we should be responsible for the kid’s medical bill. We were a group of medical professors, doctors, lawyers, law professors, engineers, corporate executives who gathered there to have an appreciation dinner for the most celebrated US Olympic coach. We didn't argue with her, although it was tempting to let her know that she was fully responsible to keep her restaurant safe. Under Kentucky law, her restaurant and insurance company are fully liable if anyone is injured due to unsafe conditions such as wet floor in her restaurant, irrespective of the identity and conduct of the injured so long as the injured did not recklessly cause his or her injuries.
After the owner's disrespectful and abrupt behavior, we will not go back to this restaurant.
The food is ok based on local standard as there is no authentic Chinese restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky. We observed that there is a healthy consumer base for good Chinese food. Therefore, several of us passed that information to owners of authentic Chinese restaurants in New York, Chicago, and Washington, DC and a few local folks even proposed to finance such an authentic Chinese restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky if those good Chinese restaurants are willing to open one in Lexington. Lets put our figures crossed and hope we will have an authentic and courteous Chinese restaurant...

Our recent birthday celebration for Eli Mashni turned into a flavor explosion at this fantastic restaurant. Here's why Panda Cuisine deserves a 5-star rating:
A Feast for the Senses:
The true star of the show was undeniably the food. The General Tso's chicken and chicken dumplings were an absolute revelation. Bursting with fresh, authentic flavors, they left us all speechless. Eli, a self-proclaimed dumpling aficionado, declared them the best he'd ever had, requiring no additional seasoning! While the beef stew offered a unique twist, the chicken dishes stole the show.
Sharing the Fun:
Panda Cuisine's tables with Lazy Susans were a brilliant touch. Sharing dishes became a fun and interactive experience, fostering a sense of camaraderie amongst our group.
Service with a Smile:
The service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The only minor wait was getting seated, but considering our indecisiveness (we bounced around a few restaurants!), it was completely understandable.
A Relaxing Escape (Almost):
The restaurant itself offered a clean, comfortable, and relaxed atmosphere. The only suggestion for improvement would be some background music, as the quietness made conversation a little more open than some might prefer.
Quality Over Quantity:
For those seeking a weekday buffet, Panda Cuisine only offers it on weekends. However, fear not! The a la carte menu boasts exceptional quality and flavor, making the lack of a buffet a non-issue.
The Final Bite:
We wholeheartedly recommend Panda Cuisine for your next Lexington lunch adventure. The food is authentic, bursting with flavor, and the quality is consistently impressive. Just keep in mind the limited buffet days if you're planning a visit.
So next time you're in Lexington and searching for a delicious and enjoyable lunch experience, look no further than Panda Cuisine! You won't be...
Read moreAlot of people complain when they go to Panda Cuisine expecting your 'typical' Chinese affair; breaded chicken fried and served with a thick, gloopy, sugary sauce with a side of 'fried' rice with tiny peas and carrots and what not, greasy egg roll included. people may be expecting the same Americanized Chinese food that you can find anywhere, in any city, and they all somehow have the exact same menu, dont they? Well not here. While the general tso's and common items here are likely what you may expect, thats only cause thats what sells to people wanting a watered down Chinese food experience like we've all come to expect, and I get that. BUT LET ME SET YOU STRAIGHT; these cats have THE BEST authentic Szechuan. REAL CHINESE FOOD (realest I've ever had). Not the hum-drum I've already described. Amazing flavors you've never even imagined. There may be a couple caveats, even for the adventurous diner, like bones for example; I've eaten here many times and some of the dishes have cuts of chicken with big ol' bones sticking out of it, some people may think they are getting ripped off, or served scrap meats, when in reality this is a traditional preparation and serving of the dish. If you are wanting super-typical Chinese, Id still say go here, cause they do that a little better than your average Chinese joint anyway. BUT, if you are adventurous and want to try some really neat stuff, DEFINATLY give this a try. I personally recommend the Sichuan stir-fry fish (spicy) and the Chongqing hot-pepper chicken (also spicy) (served with bones, and delicious with bones, just dont eat...
