Decided to go for the lunch buffet today 5-15-2023 around 1:00 p.m. The hot selection was quite nice with Grilled Chicken Wings and Meatballs, Okra, Beans, and most of the regular fare they have on the buffet. We arrived and there were only two guest seated in the whole restaurant and they were saying they wish they had ordered off the menu. But they didn't say more. We came for the buffet and that's what we ordered. What a mistake. All of the hot foods were out of temp and cold. The chicken wings were refrigerator cold on the inside. The beans and rice were room temp. We told our waitress and they quickly scrambled to turn the buffet temps up. I asked if they could return the food to the kitchen oven to re-heat because the Food has been in the danger zone for hours and really needed replaced with hot fresh food. But if the reheated it quickly it would probably be okay to eat. Her reply. "We don't have an oven". We waited 35 minutes and I ate some rice and okra but it was still just tepid. We had more salad and hummus and we suggested a price adjustment and she never replied and finally we went to tell her we were ready to check out and she charged us full price for our lunch we couldn't even eat. So we paid $50.00 for lunch & sodas for the both of us. We won't be back unless they get their act together. We've been customers since Peter from Bulgaria use to be the waiter and the restaurant was packed for lunch and the food was best Mediterranean food in Lexington. I can't believe they didn't know the temps were off. They had to do readings before they opened. We're just so disappointed. We drove from South Nicholasville...

Every time I visit, I order the same thing: a falafel wrap and fries. It’s a combination I grew up with, one that’s stuck with me as a comfort food. I’ve tried falafel wraps in a lot of different places, but there’s something special about the way Oasis does it.
You can tell the folks here really care about what they’re making. The falafel is always just right—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The veggies are fresh and crunchy, and everything tastes bright and full of flavor. It’s the kind of meal that makes you feel good from the first bite to the last.
Whether you’re new to Middle Eastern food or you’ve been eating it your whole life, Oasis is the place to be. It’s like finding a little oasis in the middle of your day—a spot to relax, enjoy some great food, and recharge.
The staff here are super friendly and always make sure you’re taken care of. They really know what they’re doing, and it shows. The service is top-notch, and you can tell they take pride in running a great restaurant.
What I love most is that they stick to traditional ways of making the food. They don’t cut corners, and it makes all the difference. Everything here is done the right way, every time.
If you’re looking for a place where you can unwind and enjoy some delicious, authentic Middle Eastern food, Oasis is it. It’s become my go-to spot, and I bet it’ll...
Read moreMy husband and I, new to Lexington, stumbled upon this charming Lebenese restaurant.
The Lebenese/Arabic music greeted us at the door, and a polite young man told us to sit anywhere we wanted.
For a Wednesday night, they had enough customers to turn a profit, but not so many that we had to wait.
The young man helped us with the menu choices, and even helped us with some of the pronunciation of the foods.
My husband and I ordered the baba ganoush and roti pitas for an appetizer. It was fresh, delicious, and clumpy enough to know it was homemade- just like we prefer.
Our entrees were just as delicious if not even more delicious.
I ordered the moujadara, a lentil and rice mixture rich in cumin.
I'm salivating right now thinking about it.
My husband ordered the market price lamb skewers with rice. He devoured his pieces of lamb joyously.
Both entrees came with a choice of soup or salad. We both chose salads- also quite, quite delicious.
I would be remiss not to mention the portions here are out of control. Each dish was enough to serve 2 people. Three people if you are watching your waistline. Happily, we have lunch for today!!
We finished off our meal with a tasty Turkish/Arabic coffee. It was served to us in the traditional Turkish coffee pot with a beautiful small coffee cup.
The prices here are also more than reasonable. Between the excellent service, the high quality and delicious food, and the no-fuss, rustic ambiance, you will find us here at Oasis again.
I'll save room next time for...
