Poppy & Pomelo — Local services in Lexington

As someone who has never been to Lexington, Kentucky before, I was unaware of all of the boutiques and fun shops around the town, but after discovering the Poppy and Pomelo Boutique has quickly become one of my favorites. This shop carries fun little gifts for people of all ages to enjoy, from stuffed animals to journals to games. The store has fun decorations lining every corner and is filled with a calming and relaxing environment. But my personal favorite aspect of the store has to be the candle-making station. One of the things that makes this boutique so special is the fact that you can make your own candle to bring home. This makes for a great activity with friends for a little hang out, or a cute date night. Another one of my favorite parts of the store is the photo booth in the corner. I’ve always loved Poppy & Pomelo but the new location. I didn’t think this store could get any better but it’s amazing! The aesthetic is so warm and inviting, the building they’re in has so much character and they’re with all the other cute businesses at the woodland triangle. I love coming here to pick up gifts for family and friends and the occasional gift for myself ;). They carry anything from hilarious to sentimental and have added quite a few new items since moving. I love when my money goes towards social good and I know I can leave there with peace of mind and money well spent. They carry so many small businesses, artists, virtually nothing mass produced. Even the candles are clean burning! Anyway, Poppy & Pomelo partnered with Wick & Mortar Studio and they are currently building out the back of the new location for a pour your own candle bar and a bar. we hosted a book bedazzling social here with a group of 13 on a sunday afternoon and had the best experience! we came in with an idea for the event, and the team went above and beyond to adapt their space to fit our needs. the glitter jello shots were perfectly on theme, and our girls couldn’t stop raving about the gummy bear spears! the drink menu had something for everyone — cocktails and mocktails alike — and all the little details were so thoughtful. the staff was so welcoming and accommodating from start to finish. truly a dream to work with when planning & we cannot wait to return for a...
