Umami Ramen & Grill — Restaurant in Lexington

Umami Ramen & Grill, just wow! I went with my fiancé to this new ramen spot and everything was incredibly delicious!

The restaurant atmosphere is cozy, sleek and has nice Japanese decor. The staff and our waitress were all very nice and prompt! For our drinks I got a Brown Sugar Boba Tea with Lychee Pearls, and my fiancé got a Strawberry Ramune. Ramune is an authentic, popular soda in Japan with bottles that have a unique opening function. I showed my fiancé how to open it, and our waitress also helped him!

For appetizers we got the Takoyaki and Pork Buns. Everything was piping hot, delicious, fresh, and large in portion! I got to take some Takoyaki home for the next day. For our mains I got their Signature Tonkatsu Ramen, while my fiancé got the Beef Gyudon. Everything was scrumptious and served in beautiful bowls or Bento-like boxes. The portions for the mains were also very generous. You could taste how fresh the topping ingredients were on and in the ramen.

For dessert we got their Strawberry Kakigori, which was a mountain in itself! Light and refreshing. I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for some authentic Japanese ramen and dishes. The food is delicious, the portions are large, and the prices...

My husband & I stumbled upon this restaurant as a last-minute google search for dinner, we're out-of-towners only staying for the night. But my goodness, this place was AMAZING!! The staff was so friendly, our server checked on us frequently & was super kind to chit-chat with. The food was A+++. My husband ordered the Curry Chicken Ramen & loved it. I order the Chicken Fried Rice & oof it tasted like that perfect fried rice you'd order from a hibachi steakhouse. We shared the Umami Pork Buns & they were wonderful. There is no way to put into words, how truly amazing this food is. All of the ramen dishes are so spectacular, that now, this is all I crave and think about. I just had the Kaisen ramen again today, and it was delicious, just as the first time I tried it. The atmosphere is relaxing, resturant is very clean and overall, is my favorite place to eat now. I would rather eat here than ANY place in Lexington. Apps, ramen and any dishes on the menu are 10/10.
