Pancho's came highly recomended. Pancho's Taqueria and Mexican Cafe is okay. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican experience, but for the price, this is it. Of four adults three really enjoyed their food and portions were excessive but then you pay the price for two so it is understandable. Everyone took food home. Service is also what you'd expect in a cafe in Mexico. The whole Pancho's experience is like every small cafe I've eaten at in Mexico. If that's your thing you'll think you're there. I compare all tamales to my mother's home made. Pancho's tamales are fine. They are not well seasoned but not bad. I had the pork tamale. Oh, they're a good size and mine was well filled. The one warning is that when they say "served with sour cream and guacamole on a bed of lettuce", like describing the flautas, they mean a lot of lettuce disguised with a very small and not enough amount of sour cream and guacamole that looks like a lot cuz it's lightly spread over a pile of lettuce. They also don't have fresh pico. I was informed that since they make their pico ahead they could not provide diced tomatoes. So if you're a no cilantro person you are sadly out of luck.

It’s a solid Meh from me. It serves its purpose, but it’s definitely not anything to seek out or tell a friend about. The NY Strip (why is there no carne asada?) was fairly bland and packed with rice, lettuce (whyyyyyy 😩😩), black beans (that I asked for) and bland “fiesta blend” cheese. Little thin cuts of beef in there. No pico. No hot salsa. None of that. Just plain. No spice. Nothing. I have no idea what the dine-in guacamole looks like, but the to-go version was comical. For that price you get a little sauce cup of off-the-shelf guac with absolutely no flavor. They literally buy this stuff off of Sysco or US Foods and add a sprig of cilantro to the top. Then give you 2 comically large lunch bags full of chips. Chips were tasty tho! There’s a grocery store across the street, you could get more generic guac for a whole lot cheaper to add to your to-go meal. Anyways. Off to go drink some hot sauce now.

Excellent little place in a very unassuming building. Don't let the small building in a tucked-away location cause you to drive on by to that garbage fast food burger slinging joint down the road. The wait was a bit on the long side - group who got there & ordered 10-15 min after we did, got their food 10 min before we did, left 10-15 min before we did. I did hear mention of the system crashing so maybe our order got lost. Couple things we'd hope for for next time, though: seemed there was no AC in the building as it was very stuffy inside. They have a nice little patio seating area but no umbrellas. I'm sure in time they'll acquire them. With an option for shade we'll jump at the outdoor seating. In any event, food was excellent, prices were reasonable, service was exceptional. We will be back.

I usually give new places I try 3 chances to make it right, I been there 3 times in the morning during breakfast time, same waitress every single time she is very uptight, I been there by my self or with husband. The 1st time I was there she would only talk to my husband like I was not there. Second time I was there it was for a to go order, which it could have been super quick to ring me up and then go, but she decided she had to go and take an order for some people that had just come in ( which regardless of the “TIPS” she should be able to prioritize). She came back with an attitude like I was a bother, after me waiting 5 mins, I finally make payment and left. And Sunday 10/20/24, came in to try lunch menu, but doors were locked, customers were in there, one customer was by front counter making payment. I called the store, asked if there were open, she stated that they were open, then asked her why the door was locked she said she didn’t know why ..”did not know what to respond’… then proceeded to give me another excuse…state that she must have been in the kitchen (which means she knew it was locked). I also want to say food is okay.. not enough meet choices they don’t even carry cecina as a choice of meet.. it isn’t authentic food, it’s more of a Mexican American dinner…. Poor service, waitress needs to be humble! based on management really love the excuses they give to customers in the reviews but nevertheless is not a genuine am sorry. This situation could of have been fix by placing a note on door or being honest when I...

This used to be a favorite of ours, my 8 year old daughter loves their tortas and the food is very tasty. However, the way they handled my last pickup order was not acceptable, they made me upset. I had called and ordered 5 plates, but they missed the torta for my daughter. I called to let them know after I returned home with the order, and they promised to get the order for the missed torta going for me right away. I live 10 minutes away, so I headed back right away. On the way over, I thought about the bill and realized I probably owed them money because they didn't charge me. I was ok with the mistake and was going to offer to pay for it even if they were going to give it to me because I like the place.

When I got there, I said I don't think I paid, and the ladies working said they had to charge me and apologized for the mistake. I was ok with paying, but I expected my food to be ready by the time I got there. But I had to wait for them to make it. What?! I sat there for quite a while as my plate of food got cold at home. I asked why they didn't start making it as soon as I called and she said, "We had to confirm it." Again, what?!! Didn't we speak on the phone? How can they take any phone orders without confirming with payment? That doesn't make sense to me at all.

Well, I had to break it to my little one that was the last torta she would have from Pancho's, so she should enjoy it. I am truly disappointed. I thought they would provide better...

August 2023 update.. we tried lunch here again. Once again, we had the same young man as a server. He is not very enthusiastic and doesn't seem to be very good at this job. He wasn't super friendly, and he didn't make any suggestions or offer any insights. The food was good, but something was off. The carnitas were very salty and lacked flavor on this day. We want to continue to support this small business, but we also want the great service and food we had a year ago.

7.27.23 update.. I have used Panchos food as a barometer to rate other places, and nothing has come close to the flavors. However, today.. I found a long hair in my food. The server was told and didn't seem to care ( he didn't apologize or say he would speak to kitchen staff), and the carnitas lacked their usual flavor. Today was a sad day at Panchos. I know they can do better and will keep going back. The serving staff has turned over a lot recently, which has been noticed since we frequent it. Maybe kitchen staff has as well.

Update... finally made it to breakfast and tried the Abuelitas pancakes. Tastes like cocoa puffs. Was so delicious. Will definitely go back for breakfast! Hands down... best food around. Everything I have eaten has been amazing....
