Papi's at Palomar — Restaurant in Lexington

Interesting experience to say the least. Our server was stretched thin running tables all over the restaurant, inside and out. We saw him at the beginning and that was it. He was way to busy for us. We waved the bar tender down. We had a short laundry list of things we needed. She caught a attitude. I explained, we hadn't seen our sever hes to busy running in and out. Manager came by and asked how things was. We explained the frustrations with him. He was very understanding. He spoke w the bar tender she came back by being very nice. Server never came back till it was time for the check. I ordered a steak and asked the server about A1 sauce he said he eas 80% sure he had it if not it was a different kind. I never got any however the steak was super tender and tasted fantastic! My cheese enchilada that came with it was disgusting to be honest. Raw corn tortilla hardly heated hard to cut. No count. Beans and rice fantastic. My roomates 2 tamales meal she was was very good. However they were cold in the center and she was hungry and didnt wanna send them back. Kids seemed to enjoy their meals. Well, the food is delicious. However the service is not good. I had to send back my food because they included cheese in all three things on my plate even though I asked for no cheese. When I commented on the fact that it had cheese the waitress said the salad did, and the soup did, but not the burrito. Suggesting that I should keep it as long as the burrito is fine. I checked the burrito, it also had cheese in it. The took back everything and replaced it.

One of the other people at my table ordered chicken quesadillas. They however came with no cheese. When my friend asked about the quesadilla with no cheese. The waitress said "they don't come with cheese." This seemed ridiculous to me, so I googled quesadilla and it was defined at "small cheesey thing." So then we looked back at the menu, the menu specifically said they were made with cheese.

If you get something to go, be sure to check your food before you leave. I've had similar experiences at both other locations. When I came to this location I'd literally never gotten a correct order the first time. I just keep coming back because the...

Cheese dip was runny. Food was blan. Sitting there looking at menu and kept getting rushed what we wanted to eat. One person ordered chili off menu and they didn’t have it. The quesadilla came with little sour cream and got charged another dollar to get more. Beers in bottles were 4 dollars. We are trying to leave and sitting there while we ask for check. Waitress says she needs plates before she can get that. So she takes 2 plates and next then we know she needs is with a group of employees at the bar taking pictures with other co workers. Our check was suppose to be split our group was trying to leave. Everyone ended up leaving and we just did it at one check. Waited and she came back and said she had to clean the table before she could give check. I said you rushed us on food you can rush on check.
