Rock House Brewing and the Sweet Potato Stand
This is a quiet spot in an old semi-industrial area. Rock House has outdoor tables in the shade of the building as well as picnic tables that are shaded in the late evening by trees, and seating indoors. The weather was nice so we chose an outdoor table on the deck.
For dinner we had papdi chaat-inspired sweet potatoes from The Sweet Potato Stand, a mobile operation that will be at Rock House every Monday in June. Our dinner potatoes were stuffed with chickpeas, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, sev, and tamarind chutney, and our dessert sweet potatoes with tahini, vanilla, fresh strawberries and blackberries. Both the dinner and the dessert sweet potatoes were excellent, and we will be back for more later this month.
For drinks, we sampled the: Double Kick Drum (Double IPA) Key Lime Groupie David Stout Saison Rock Creek Wheat Dark Hearted Tart (a sour beer)

I liken them to a pillow for your palette, one goose down and the other memory foam. On top of the good beers the building and patio area are very interesting and old scale house for a stoneyard built out of hand cut limestone gives the place a warm welcome feel. Although the bar is small the service and other seating arrangements will more than meet your needs. The arched open hearth is also very inviting built out of limestone the craftmanship is...
Read moreStopped in to visit Rock House Friday pretty much right when they opened, and we are glad we did! We were greeted right away by Austin & Hailey (I hope I got their names correct) and made to feel right at home. Austin was super knowledgeable about their beers and wanted to know what we preferred. We did a flight followed up by a pour each, we really wish we had more time and we enjoyed the laid back vibe and conversation. The beers were all excellent from the cherry cobbler tart to the blue razz to the key lime tart and the pecan imperial. If we lived anywhere within a reasonable distance, this would be one of our go-to breweries on a weekly basis. Keep up the good work and hope to see...
