I am surprised I've not left a review here, but here goes. I've been here a couple times while going through Lexington looking for a good breakfast. Having checked their menu I was intrigued by the shear variety of breakfast sandwiches they served so I figured to give this place a try. This is a typical fast food joint so the service and atmosphere is what you'd expect for a fast food place. The restaurant was clean and the service staff took care of orders without issue. As pricey as some breakfast sandwiches are these days ($5.80 for a McGriddle)...Tudor's sandwiches seem like a steal. Especially when you look at how big they are. They serve their sandwiches on their own biscuits and those are also pretty darn big. The helpings of egg, cheese and protein also matches ensuring you have plenty of goodies to go with that big biscuit. The first time I went I had the bacon, egg, cheese and hashbrown sandwich. This year, I had the "Politician" - egg, cheese, and bologna (very fitting isn't it?). The latter has a generous amount of bologna to go with that egg and cheese and I thought it was pretty good. A couple of critiques I do have though is that 1) I would like to see breakfast combos for the sandwiches (or at least better advertised) as the drinks a la carte a pricier than other fast-food breakfast options and 2) I would love to order the biscuits by themselves and just enjoy one with some butter and jelly. If you're in the area (or in West Virginia) and want to do something a bit different for breakfast, you definitely can't go wrong...
Read moreFinally Lexington has a Tudor's! I'm from Louisville, and Louisville has had a Tudors for decades. Get there super early because they form a line all the way from Tudors to Eastland! Tudors location sucks. It's on a tiny lot that wasn't made for a drive thru. That's why most of the customers cars are lined up all the way to Eastland Avenue. The good thing is that the line goes fast. Like, McDonald's morning breakfast rush fast! Now that's fast! Tudors has the best buiscuts in the world! And their fried bologna sandwich has it going on! But Tudors sausage gravy was awful! It didn't taste anything like sausage gravy. In fact, it hardly contained any sausage at all! It tastes like regular cream gravy. Sausage-less. My tip to you. Everything Tudors sell is delicious except the sausage gravy. Buy your buiscuts from Tudors, then swing by McDonald's and buy two to three $1 side orders of gravy. It ain't on the menu like that. You have to ask for it because they don't want customers to know that they can order a $1 sausage buiscut, and a $1 gravy. It's enough for one buiscut. Other than the gravy sucking all to hell this place should have gotten 5 Stars! But the gravy...
Read moreIf I could give it zero stars, I would. I moved in to the apartments beside it and every morning see a line of cars wrapped around the building so naturally I thought âthat must be a delicious place to eatâ. Finally tried it today and sub par doesnât even come close. I got a BLT sandwich that I had to put together upon unwrapping. It was sloppy, mayonnaise was everywhere, and the lettuce was even warm. My hubby got the Big Tator platter with gravy, cheese, and sausage. Couldnât even tell that there was gravy in it due to how much processed cheese sauce they loaded it down with. I expected actual cheese to be on it when they asked if I wanted cheese or at least shredded cheese, but whatever they used tasted like it came from a ball park. The whole dish was extremely bland and had no flavor. The potatoes, eggs, and sausage clearly had no seasoning whatsoever. He wouldnât even eat it after two bites until I doctored it up with some spices and sauce we had here. Highly disappointed and not impressed at all, Tudors. Taco Bellâs breakfast has more flavor than...
