Baba’s Famous Steak & Lemonade — Restaurant in Leyden Township

Let me start by saying I never write reviews good or bad but this experience was so unbelievably awful, I had to say something. If I can save even one person from wasting their time and money at this place then it’s worth it.

I came in for a simple Philly cheesesteak. They told me 10 minutes. Cool, no problem. But 10 minutes turned into 40 minutes of standing around while being completely ignored. When I finally spoke up, they acted like I was the issue like I was out of line for expecting them to do their job. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and clearly didn’t care about customer service one bit. If they would have said “hey it’s gonna be a 30 minute wait” then I would understand.

When I rightfully started calling out the ridiculous wait and the attitude, suddenly everyone wanted to get defensive. Don’t waste your time or energy here. The food is not worth the disrespect and complete lack of professionalism. There are too many other spots out here that actually care about what they’re doing. This place? Trash. I don’t care how good...

Really??? Now I gotta go back to the hood cuz I know they would never drop the ball the way this location did. “Extra sauce“ means extra sauce not ZERO sauce! I feel played. Who eats chicken with no sauce when babas is all about their sauce. I’m in disbelief and can’t trust going back. I ordered a cherry/ blue raspberry lemonade and only got cherry flavor but I’ll give it a pass cuz it was still super tasty and refreshing. Also got a crispy jerk Philly that went hard so for that I give you an extra star. I ordered through door dash so I didn’t see my food being made. I'm extremely disappointed ordering this second time around, I ordered 4 gyro sandwiches one add cheese, and no gyro sauce.... For one they still put the gyro sauce, and second all 4 plates and gyro sandwiches had very little portions, barely any fries and the gyros were all bread, only a few pieces of meat..... For almost 80$???? You have got to be shitting me! 🤦‍♀️ Won't be ordering anymore which is very unfortunate because my first time ordering was great, maybe they had different staff today? Maybe they didn't really feel like working? Or maybe they just thought it was ok to jiff off a high paying...
