I flew in from Los Angeles for a music festival, and the food there was both overpriced and disappointing—especially the so-called “Mexican food,” which was nothing like the real thing. I found this place by chance because I was starving and it’s close to my hotel. Wow, I’m so glad I did! My students always bring food to share and I'd say I'm pretty good at knowing what's decent Mexican food. I love their pozole. As far as pupusas, yes, there was a person who owned the place before (Guanachapin) and she also brought tamales (Guatemalan?) but this is a Mexican place now.
