I was in the area at the convention center with a friend and we decided to try this restaurant as I had heard about it on social media and a few friends had visited. Our plan was to grab a quick bite to eat on my way back to Wisconsin. When I arrived the restaurant was busy but not too busy where the service would have suffered - most people were already seated with their food. When we stepped up to the counter I had asked the cashier if it was a carry out restaurant because we had never been there - he said yes and handed us a menu and asked what we wanted to order. I told him that we needed a minute because we had never been to the restaurant, he said ok but asked us 15 seconds later again what we wanted to order, which caused me to rush and order my food - but that was fine because I had already decided on the chicken strips since this seemed like the most normal thing on the menu (who really wants a chicken sandwich with a donut for a bun). The cashier seemed to be very nervous and ancy but that was fine. My friend ordered her food and we waited for our food to be called. We decided to go to the bathrooms to wash our hands since we had just left the convention center attending a show. The bathrooms were disgusting - reeked of urine, the sink was dirty and also had long strands of hair in it and the floor was visibly dirty and sticky. After leaving the bathroom my friend had collected our food and it was time to hit the road back to Wisconsin. As I am driving down the street about to get on the expressway I take a bite into my chicken tender only to find that it was gummy in the middle while hot oil and juice from the chicken burned my lip as it squirted on my windows and down my face. I spit the chicken out because the consistency was way off. I had my friend check it only to find it was still raw and pink in the middle - I had just spent $17 on raw chicken tenders, cold French fries and a nasty strawberry lemonade that tasted like kids medicine. I immediately called the restaurant and complained to the manager - he had no words and barely an apology telling me that he would refund my food but I had paid with cash - so it was $17 down the drain. He asked what a reasonable solution would be but honestly at this point I was H-Angry and couldn’t think reasonably - I left the manager with my name and phone number and told him that I was not in my right mind to figure out what the right thing to do would be because I was H-Angry and I told him since he was the manager figure out how to turn my terrible visit into a better experience and call me when he figured it out - I never received a call (that was over 3 weeks ago). My friend said that her food was fully cooked and she said that it just tasted alright (she had a chicken sandwich) she said it was nothing to write home about and she would have been happier with a sandwich from a big box restaurant. Well turns out she made a huge mistake eating the sandwich because she was sick shortly after and for the next 2 days with food poisoning. I will never go back to this restaurant and you can’t pay...

Read moreIn the 1990s, Shaquille O'Neal dominated the basketball court. Now he plans to enter the food business by founding Big Chicken, a fast-casual eatery. Let's witness if it succeeds or fails like his free throws.
The infrastructure is brand-new and contemporary. The logo's simplicity and excellent design appeal to me. The interior layout is fluent and easy for me to navigate. Despite having a limited menu, there are many excellent options.
The service is fast; I received my food shortly after placing my order with a cashier in person. I was annoyed that the milkshake wasn’t ready with a meal because it makes going back and forth inconvenient. I just wanted to relax and enjoy my meal.
I went with the Shaq Attack sandwich. The coleslaw adds color and attractiveness to the sandwich. I like how the cheese on the sandwich has melted. Not a fan of the batter, which lacks volume and crispness. The taste is not awful. I tasted a spicy, sweet, and tangy flavor; it’s a well-balanced sandwich. The problem I have is the sandwich is lukewarm which I’m not surprised because I got the food within minutes.
The fries were okay, simply seasoned; the fries reminded me of thinly sliced potatoes wedges. It would be good if the fries weren’t lukewarm. I enjoy how they provide a selection of sauces as a condiment: a decent dipping sauce for the fries makes it a lot easier to eat.
To wash it down, I ordered the diesel Oreo milkshake, which was presented in a clear cup to showcase the whip cream, crushed Oreos, and drizzle of chocolate syrup, which was a very pleasant touch. The milkshake was smooth and delicious; every zip I felt the grain of Oreo. Hands down the milkshake is unquestionably worthwhile.
I must admit Big Chicken is not bad. I hope you open one near Schaumburg. All the staff was professional, and the facility is well kept. I saw one of the women was constantly active, cleaning tables and changing garbage, you have a good crew...
