I will never again in life order from this company again. A coworker and I ordered dinner and received the worst service ever. I ordered a double hamburger no cheese, no ketchup, no mayo and I wanted the meal. My coworker ordered something similar. When our food gets here the driver forgot our to bring our beverages which was fine because they offered a credit. When I looked at my food the order was completely wrong. I immediately called back because I am lactose intolerant and can't handle cheese. The gentleman on the phone was very combative and upset because he didn't want to come back because they were closing in the hour. I told him that I wanted my food remade and he reluctantly agreed. I called back because I wanted to add something to my order, but since I was at work I had a customer in front of me so I said "nevermind" and hung up. I didn't mean nevermind to the food. I just decided that I wouldn't add anything to the order.

I called the restaurant back to make sure my food was on the way and the gentleman was angry and said he thought I meant to cancel it. I told him that it was not my intention to cancel the food. I just wasn't able to talk at the moment. He was very rude on the phone and we exchanged words. In the process of the exchange the gentleman hung up on me.

I called back and spoke to the manager. The manager attempted to smooth things over, but at this point I was over the food. I told the manager to cancel the food and just give me a refund.

My coworkers and I order from Frannie's consistently and this is absolutely...

We were staying at the Hyatt Regency up the street for a labor conference and people kept on saying we had to try the Chicago hotdogs. So after a quick Google search, we found this place. I gotta say I love the decor and the style of the old-school theme. These are my type of places from the moment we walked in the door. The people behind the counter were very personable and friendly, and willing to take our order quickly. They showed us the specials, told us about the food and we proceeded to order. I ordered two Chicago hotdogs with french fries and a soda and also a beef sandwich. I got to tell you they don’t serve hotdogs like this in Philadelphia. These hotdogs Were absolutely amazing and very flavorful and the beef sandwich was just added this to me. The beef was so tender and juicy in the roll soft and fresh. If you’re ever in the area, make sure you put this on your short list of places to visit. I wish them nothing but the best in the future with...

This place in a small, converted house with an old school deli vibe was highly rated and I had to give it a try while I was in town. Orders are called out like a Waffle House or maybe the SNL Cheeseburger skit ("No hamburger. Cheeseburger.").

First thing I had to try was the Italian ice. It's the real deal, so freaking good. Next came the Chicago dog. It is legit, though I'm surprised it's not on the traditional poppy seed bun. Otherwise it's perfect and stands up to those offered by the better known places.

The fries are good, but I'm kinda over fries these days.

I later tried the burger. It was juicy and perfectly seasoned. A little heavy on condiments, but I only mention that because it makes the burger so messy.

My fiance declared the Italian beef to be fantastic, as well as the tiramisu.

Great people, fun conversations, and great prices.

Five stars for the food, 5 for the prices, 5 for atmosphere, and 5 for the Italian ice. Five...

NOTE: This review is from my experience at Frannie's concession stand at the Taste of Chicago on 09/07/2024. I had the lemonade Italian ice. 5/5. It was delicious. Slightly too sweet, but I loved the interesting silky texture as it melted on my tongue. And lemonade is my favorite drink, so I was very happy to see they had it on the menu in Italian ice form. I wish they made the serving a little bigger. I was not offered/suggested other sizes, so if they were available, I was not made aware. Staff was friendly and the stand stood out and had good marketing. I will need to visit a location to try the street food. I will do a follow up review.
