Love it here, the people are super nice and friendly but not to where itās annoying or overbearing. I come regularly with my spouse almost every day and they make my cold brew with all my niche add ins so GREAT ALWAYS! I was a regular Starbucks drinker, everyday for my afternoon coffee pick me up but grew bored with them having only one sugar free option vanilla. Came to Dutchies and the options are endless! VERY HAPPY with the options and the baristas being flexible with me changing my flavors all the time.
The only reason I rated atmosphere not at 5 stars is not the staff, but one day this week I came by and there was a very heavy storm that was raining really hard and the young girl that was taking my order was still outside and was soaking wet.
She was still trying to be nice and even remembered my order, but I feel itās VERY CRUEL to make your staff take orders OUTSIDE when itās RAINING and I mean RAINING HARD, this wasnāt no sprinkling. It was a storm and she was trying her best, but I felt so bad for her, it really was upsetting to see, made me want to call in to speak with a manager after leaving to complain and have some mercy on these people. That would be my only criticism, the drinks and people are great, but that MANAGER needs to take better care of the staff. People donāt need to be drenched at work to take a damn coffee order. Some constructive feedback: Itās great that the staff will send someone out with a tablet to pick up orders if the line is long. BUT, please pay attention to who is NEXT in line. I have had to tell multiple staff members when Iām not the next person in line, who the next person in line is, and more frustratingly, Iāve been skipped over numerous times in line by people who show up after me.
Iāve had multiple instances of waiting 20-30 mins in line for my drink in the drive thru. Thereās times when Iāve gotten an already melted āfrozenā drink because of the long time it takes between ordering and actually getting said drink. As Iāve gone to the location multiple times per week since they opened, the only thing I can boil it down to is that the staff is very young, personable and likes to talk to the customers. Makes for a great vibe, but not if Iām burning $10 for a drink that now isnāt worth it. Maybe theyāre covering for the people who are making the drinks? Either way, I shouldnāt have to worry about my drink melting or getting cold because the staff is overly polite and talkative. Iāve heard a guy several times ask what car they drive (females baristas only). Gets coffee returns with donuts for females only. Tries to get their phone numbers. Not to mention HE HAS FOLLOWED A FEMALE BARISTA HOME AT LEAST ONCE(she has resigned 2 times from this location due to this individual)! I have made reports to corporate and nothing has gotten done! This is a safety concern for all females that work here! This is just one of the guys that make them feel uncomfortable. Is it worth loosing great employees over a coffee a day??
