I came here on a whim for lunch today. I have never tried Indian food but had always heard it was flavorful. I was not disappointed. I ordered the lunch portion of Chicken Curry (spice level 2/6), which came with white rice and a Garlic Nan.
I didn't have to wait long for my food. When it did come out I had to ask the waitress how to eat the food and explained I did not know the "correct" way to eat the dishes I ordered. She was gracious in explaining it to me, which was a relief. I was worried I'd be made fun of, but she was professional.
The food itself was amazing. There were so many different bold flavors and textures with every bite, but they didn't clash. Rather every new flavor and texture would blend seamlessly with the others and every bite the spice level would subtly build on itself. It wasn't just eating lunch, the first bite was almost a spiritual journey for me. Absolutely one of the best dishes in this part of town easily in the top 5.
The waitress, I did not catch her name, was amazing. She refilled my water without me asking, checked up on me regularly, and was quick to bring me extra napkins when I asked.
Everyone, if you're looking for a new place for a fantastic meal, you have found it. Come on in, give it a try. I promise you won't regret it and they deserve our business more than any of the other restaurants in the area. Yes, they are that good. 5 stars.
Unfortunately I did not capture any photos. I was too excited eating the food to stop...
Read moreMid takeout, all bread steamed itself and was soggy to the point of being mush, chicken was hard and inedible... Tasted like it wasn't marinated and then, after being cooked, was microwaved. Hottest spice level wasn't even hot. Roti was chewy. Would have rather bought groceries with the time and money spent tearing up the tough chicken, after rinsing it off, and trying to feed it to my cats. Honestly I think this is the hardest chicken I've ever eaten, and I've eaten completely burned chicken off a grill... There's no way they didn't microwave it with how disgustingly sinched it was. Place was very clean, order was read back great, very nice staff, sauces were ok flavor just lacked spice. I was going to take it back or take a video of trying to tear this chicken apart but that's too much hassle. It's Friday. Recommendation: don't get large chunks of anything from here, stick to basic curry. If it can't be cooked fresh, remove it from the menu. Ruined...
